No, unchastity is not synonymous with promiscuity although promiscuity is one form of unchastity. When I said unchastity, I meant any homosexual acts even if that is sexual relations within a monogamous same sex relationship.

You are not following. Here was your post. "I have heard that sexual orientation is based on epigenetics which I don't really find all that surprising. Nevertheless, I still condemn unchastity amongst all people, including gays and lesbians." Now if read literally, you condemn all unchastity amongst all people. That means all sexual/ conjugal relations among all people, including gays and lesbians and heterosexuals, married or not, monogamous or not, and it does not leave any room to 'be fruitful and multiply' unless we are talking artificial insemination! It is not a discriminatory statement; it is a foolish one. The moment you decide that unchastity is a good thing among married heterosexual people, then it becomes a little less foolish and a little more discriminatory.

I want to tell you about my uncle Mike for a second here. See, my uncle Mike is gay, and he was madly in love with a man named Randy. I have never somebody care that deeply about anyone else before. And 10 years after Randy died of cancer, every time I see him I hear him tell at least two fond memories of Randy. If love that deep is a sin, then, to quote Huck Finn, "I'll go to hell then!".

And there's more. See, Uncle Mike is deeply lonely. He tries his best to hide it, but every so often when I see him I can tell he's deeply miserable over the idea that he has to be alone his entire life in order to not sin. People don't like being lonely. People want to love and be in functional relationships, and I don't think I could love a god that could give people a natural orientation that excludes them from ever having a relationship without offending him.
