yes, this exactly. I live in a 'skinny' area, and it's always a shock to go to places where the shopping malls are full of enormous people.

 

They gain the weight of the baby and fluids, and that's it. Any beyond that is the personal choice to eat too much.

 

Those that did, chose to do so, and those that didn't chose not to do so. It's VERY simple.

 

One of the key reasons there are far less fat people in Europe, is because they still 'make fun' of fat people. Anyone who thinks that saving the momentary feelings of an individual is more important than saving their life, is contributing to the obesity problem.

 

We would all no doubt be furious. But if our kid did actually stink, we would at some point have to process our own fault in causing our kid to be the focus of negative attention.

 

Thyroid problems can cause obesity, as can too much krap in the diet

You must be a little pig that hates yourself for being fat. People are fat for all kinds of reasons, its not my place to judge others about being fat, its like someone who smokes if that is what they choose to do then its on them.

You may think you are some sort of medical expert on hypothyroidism, but your lack of knowledge on the subject is frightening. Here are some quotes from the Mayo Clinic (one of the world's most renowned hospitals) website about hypothyroidism (emphasis is mine):

We dont go to school and lecture kids about such stuff in Germany. Police here is not responsible for Kindergarten stuff

 

It isn't the kids fault he is fat, true. It's his parents' fault and it is, IMO, child abuse. People who have obese children should be reported to Child Protective Services and something done about it.

 

Bullying doesn't just take place in kindergarten. It takes place in every age of life, in fact: adults do it too. The fact is that bullying takes place in elementary school, middle school and high school, around the world, Germany too. I've taught internationally in four different countries and I know. I lived in Germany as well. It isn't kindergarten stuff.

As far as police in America talking to school kids, it's part of a program to make kids more comfortable with and trusting of the police. Unfortunately, the poster who said while talking to school kids, he made fun of one who was fat, that poster failed as a good cop. He's a jerk who shouldn't wear the uniform. Nothing to respect in a person like that.

 

After menopause, your metabolism slows down. Though it doesn't cause obesity, it means that women have to eat less and more carefully and exercise more to maintain an ideal weight. It is harder for women to stay thin because their bodies naturally have a higher percentage of fat than men. However, weighing more than you might have before 40 doesn't mean you need to be obese.

Body type also seems to be an issue. I have known women who are thin/slender from the waist up, but have huge butts and thighs. That's a body type. They would have to do an excessive amount of toning with weight training to keep those parts of the body slender.

Overweight may have also to do with genetics. I have known women who say they can eat anything and not gain weight.

 

Hell kids drink beer and wine in Germany, pretty much speaks for itself.

 

Is this for real or some sort of stunt for bad Santa 3? Not for nothing, but if I had a kid and waited on line at some mall so that the guy in the suit insulted them during the picture I think I would be rightfully pissed off. You pay money for that stuff and you don't need a smart ass ripping you. Show some professionalism. I have worked at the mall on Christmas and people are insane and awful, but I was being paid to represent my employer. It would not even enter my mind to allow a criticism of a customer to come out because it was my job. If you don't like it then do something else. It is not like mall Santa is a career.

 

Not even close. This man was an employee paid to do a job. If he was just some dude making comments on his time then so what. He was hired by the mall to do a job. That job is to play Santa, not to start dishing out opinions and advice. If he wants a job as a nutritionist or health expert and the mall wants to hire some guy to run around after their customers telling them they are fat that is a different story. I don't care about fat shaming, or any of that nutrition stuff. This guy is hired to do a job. Calling kids fat goes against the happy customer relations his employer paid him for. If he does not like his job he can wander around making dumb **** comments on his own dime.

I am not even saying the guy has to be jolly or even good at being Santa, but not insulting the mall customers is a line of professionalism that needs to be maintained. Michelle Obama is not paid to speak or keep her mouth shut so that does not even count. That is an entirely different situation. If Michelle Obama is being paid by the mall to dress like Santa clause around Christmas and entertain children i am quite sure she would have the professionalism to not call the kids fat.
