President Trump, On December 17, 2012, said that Obama spoke for him and all Americans when Obama called for something to be done to prevent a Sandy Hook tragedy.

I didn't lose a child in Sandy Hook. But I have 3 sons, all of whom at one time were in First Grade. If one of my sons was killed in his classroom, as those children were in theirs, I wouldn't be complacent about it. I wouldn't ignore it. And I certainly wouldn't forget about it.

I don't want to see anyone lose their guns. My husband is an avid gun collector. But at the same time, I'd like to understand what common sense approach can be taken so that parents don't worry about their children dying in school or at an outdoor concert because we all toss up our hands and say "Oh well. It is what it is."

 

And yet, you'll tell us prior restraint violates the constitution.
How do you resolve this discrepancy?

 

You may want to share this with the FBI and all of the law enforcement officials who are investigating this massacre. They don't seem to agree with you.

3. He had a serious argument with her which persuaded her to leave. Couples splitting up happens all the time and on the rare occurrence one of the two carries out a violent act - nothing to do with terrorism
4. Perhaps he saw those gig goers as being invaders of his city in the same way as those in Myanmar saw the Muslims invading their city, and wanted to commit genocide on them. The best spot just happened to be the hotel he was already booked up in

I am going to have another memory recall episode: Gabrielle “Gabby” Gifford, one Jared Lee Loughner was a 19 year old allegedly issued paranoid, expletive-filled Internet rants about government conspiracies, suicide and killing police, according to new law enforcement documents. This could be anyone on the internet. I will leave my comments about the potentiality of mass shooters and rampages alone for now. I post this because if nothing is found in reference to Mondays’ shooter, than all is nothing more than speculation and I do not much like speculation for various reasonable reasons.

Best bit of information I could find. First, as noted in the picture, the data is not including under-developed nations, so on the face of it, his claim is wrong on that front. Also, on a death per-capita rating, the US comes in at 4th on this list. If you go by frequency, then the U.S. is first.

 

What a trolling post. Seriously man. I was not using the polling data as support for my policy. I have enough reasons to support the policies that I advocate without needing to resort to, "let's do it because the majority wants." I was explicitly refuting his argument that most people do not support the policies.

The licensing of a right and it associated tax, laid with the intent to restrict the exercise of same, violates the constitution.

 

Trump seems capable of expressing very different viewpoints on things, and doing so in baffling, stunning ways. That's one of the things that troubles me about him. But, he's not the topic of interest here, so his opinions about Sandy Hook in 2012 really don't matter, truthfully.

I agree that we must keep our children safe in public schools. Many private schools have already empowered their teachers and staff members to carry weapons. But, that, too, is not the focal point of interest here. Never forget the worn out but true phrase, "When guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns"....

While all this hyperliberal Leftist froth is boiling about the 'need' for more gun control, I hope that we don't lose sight of what the topic actually is -- how this man supposedly got all this weaponry into the 32nd floor rooms of the Mandalay Hotel completely undetected, and, why he opened fire with fully-automatic weapons which, unless he had special licenses, would have been completely illegal for him to have had in the first place. Until we can get some actual undeniable FACTS nailed down, everybody is a suspect....

Actually, the current President of the United States does matter. You brought up his opponent and said you were glad she was not elected President.

Empowering teachers to carry guns isn't the solution. There has to be a better one. Teachers leave classrooms.

Assault rifles were designed for war and to be used by soldiers.. not for hunting. What is the rationale for big "clips" and such rapid fire?

IMO its indefensible.. Why has the NRA fought a computerized data base for gun registration?

The men in my family hunt deer, ducks and quail... They shoot skeet.. and they have handguns for the home or car.
