The gun used in Sandy Hook, those in Vegas and that in Florida were all legal FFL sales REQUIRING background checks. ... so forms were filled out...so what case?
Even if not, even if only some of the firearms had been acquired from federally licensed firearm dealers, while the majority were not, what meaningful difference would have been made? Stephen Paddock demonstrated numerous times that he was quite capable of passing any background check put before him. He was even a licensed pilot, and the standard for such is significantly higher than is necessary for legally purchasing a firearm.
Such bs and a continuing chirping cricket that is nothing more than a pest. As I have maintained in any response on this topic with you, my only objection to background checks is a call for a UBC while being denied access to the NICS and that ia UBC would require gun registration, something I am totally opposed to seeing implemented and will continue to oppose no matter what assurances are dishonestly offered by the Left. I have twice in my life seen gun registration used to confiscate guns, one of those times resulting in a substantial number of people resisting and dying... a system that did not achieve its goal of confiscating all civilian weapons.
I don’t trust any thing you care to say any more than I trust liberals running a registration system and the GOP won’t install one. Never gonna happen without a fight which I guarantee you aren’t prepared for. Nah, the opportunity slipped away at the beginning of Obama’s term and I think this last election, its aftermath, and the peeling of the onion has not only fragmented the DEMS but just as Americans began to see the failures of the LW, evident by the defeat they were handed despite the prevailing dislike of Trump, gun control laws will continue to be eroded in state legislature (except in the west coast La La Republic). And... tick, tick, tick, gun ownership will continue its climb. Then too, the more the left tries to ramp up discussion on guns in the aftermath of this strategy, few will give up their guns, but more new gun owners will join the ranks.
Good point but I am not suggesting that I would be locked just my property taken. You have mentioned Australia's gun control; they made their citizens turn in their guns. And remember the Americans of Japanese heritage? They got to go "camp"ing.
Don't avoid my main point of the Australian Government taking their citizens guns? How do you justify that?
They should not have done that. And we should not have interned the Japanese americans. But I still think we should have the census even though it was used inappropriately
And we should have a form of gun registration even if it might be used inappropriately? I mean the Democratic Presidential Candidate in the last election mentioned Australia and gun control. We get someone like that in office will they use your little form to go door to door collecting guns?
So let me get this straight. You are against ALL forms of registration because they could be used against you?
I am against all forms of registration of firearms because it is a Constitutional guarantee, because registration of my firearms would facilitate their confiscation, because I see them as a stand against tyranny. Oh, yeah and because it could be used against me!
