Too all who like to sit around claiming that the 2020 election was stolen from Dirty Don the Lying Con, Flynn as provided a clear example of why this lie is so dangerous. When you attack the foundation of our democracy and get a bunch of dopes to believe that our elections are not free and fair, you make violent insurrection and coup d'etat plausible. Trump's lie -- your lie -- can easily become the basis for very tragic events. This idiocy can easily lead to domestic terrorism and separatism or full blown civil war.

 

The video isn't "taken out of context." He goes immediately from this to taking the next question. He was asked why a military coup couldn't happen here, and he said it should. And it isn't the first time he's expressed that sentiment. He's even gone to the White House with his lawyer to express that sentiment, and he wasn't the only one. He isn't some random forumite. He isn't some random actor or singer. He was a member of the administration and a military leader. This isn't okay, and no one who has any respect at all for our country should simply give it a pass.

Beast? Even if he wins the Republican nomination again, the general public trounced him the first time. Look, the Trump of 2024 is not the same thing as the Trump of 2016. He's politically done. The travesty at the Capitol is about as bad as it gets when it comes to negative publicity. Moderates aren't going to go for it, nor will most independents and PS. 1. Abysmal pandemic response (leaving hundreds of thousands dead, much more unemployed, businesses permanently shuttered, etc.).
2. Nepotism with a side of giving these people blanket access to classified information.
3. Milking the US for millions for Secret Service forced to stay in his hotels (along with SS covering his family post-inauguration)
3. Too close for comfort relationships with dictators (he not so secretly worships because he wants to be like them).

5. Coaxed the racists, sexists, homophobes out the woodwork.
6. Total disrespect for our military and veterans and their families.

9. Bilking $ from non-millionaires while using "fuzzy" rules on his donation page to get repetitive donations instead of one-time donations.

So if you actually understand what he is saying is that 'no reason it should happen here'. He didn't advocate a military coup.

As I said earlier, I am willing to cut Flynn some slack as he is maybe just dumb enough to acquiesce to a clear demand for a military coup without realizing on the spot exactly what was being said, or he may have wanted to get the crowd riled without 'really' meaning it. And what if those republicans who took power fraudulently say created a bill called HB2 which would enshrine the methods through which they defrauded the vote into law ensuring they cannot be defeated in the next presidential election? They also want to add two more conservative states to the country to ensure they cannot be defeated in the house and senate AND they want to pack the courts with conservative justices so they control the court as well. Controlling all three branches of government.

What is your solution then? And I’ll remind you they’re doing all this because they STOLE the original vote. What is the solution then?
