Do I need to remind you of the date when Trump wrote off the virus as just a cold or when he didn't want passengers taken off a cruise ship because he did not want the deaths to become statistics of the US or when many were dying in a nursing home but largely ignored as just seasonal flu?

 

Trump did everything he could. Remember he banned travel from China.

 

No he didn't! Over 40,000 passengers traveled between the two countries after 31st Jan, some making repeat trips. And none were quarantined

 

They were Americans. To quarantine them you'd have to assume that they're contagious which would be absurd to assume they all are especially since they were informed that there's no human to human transmission.

 

Flights were still happening in March!

 

Because China lied and said its not contagious

 

March 2020 ! Are you just pretending to be this slow? You do realize that theses flights were still continuing while thousands of Americans had died?

 

These flights were to repatriate Americans overseas. Would you suggest leaving them in China?

 

No one was quarantined and some made repeated trips!

 

I'd personally suggest conservatives stop referring to the fake "China Travel Ban" myself...

 

hold on, china is slow on dec, maybe jan, but that doesn't excuse Trump downplay in late jan to Feb, once they lockdown 11million which was Jan 23, Trump should realize its serious, and be prepared, instead he downplay till march, thats on Him

 

Unbelievable. Then again I'm in favor of any little straw that might eventually restore balance to the US trade deficit and loss of manufacturing. Somehow though I doubt that this lawsuit will achieve anything other than wasting taxpayer time and money/debt on the wonderful and highly respected US court system.

There was nothing to prepare for in January and February. There was no death until March 1st.

You want a lockdown with no deaths? You want widespread tests with no deaths? You want to quarantine American travelers with no deaths?

Remember, nobody though it was deadly until March. Everyone knew that there were only a few cases and they would go away with the heat. The media didn't take it seriously. It was not a big deal. Many Americans still don't think it's a big deal. It's at least not worth destroying our Constitution over.

 

Sorry, but this just isn't the case at all. We had a great deal of information in late February, and many people acted on it then. My family and friends all did, preparing for extensive lock down. We started social distancing at the same time, and social isolation shortly after. The evidence that it was dangerous and spreading rapidly, was readily available by the beginning of March. It was up to individuals (and Govts) to ignore that information, or act on it.

If you didn't understand it by the beginning of March, it was because you didn't want to understand it. The information was EVERYWHERE.

 

The information was quite clear that that wasn't the case, at all. I barely pay attention to the news, yet I knew it was a significant threat by the end of February. It was pretty clear that this virus wasn't behaving like ordinary influenza - and given the massive amount of international travel that happens daily, it didn't take more than half a brain to extrapolate how that could play out.

 

Anyone coming from China should have gone through quarntine.

Since January, there have been tens of thousands who have come here from China. That includes commercial shipments and business contacts - not necessarily repatriation or pleaseure.

Also, the latest info from epidemiologists seems to be that New York got infected more from travel from Europe than travel from China or other places within the USA.

 

China let the world know it was significant before mid January.

By January 11, China had given us the genome and other information to let us start identifying it and working on preventing transmission, creating treatments and developing a vaccine.

At that time, Fox, Rushbo, Breitbart and others were backing up Trump's claim that it wasn't serious and had developed the conspiracy theory that it was a Democratic plot to smear Trump!!

If anyone didn't know it was serious by February, they should totally reevaluate what sources of information they are using.

 

We were WAY worse with our delays and misinformation than China ever was. Plus, there is no way to blame the CCP on damage done by hiding information at the local level. It wasn't a CCP policy.

On the other hand, we DO know our own government has been absolutely pathetic and STILL unconscionably slow to act even TODAY.


How many medical staff have died because FEMA stole the orders of hospitals for PPE during shipment?

A real wrongful death lawsuit:
FEMA has interdicted the delivery of PPE ordered by hospitals. And, LONG after the need for PPE was well known, there was NO federal action on providing this life preserving protection.

COVID deaths of medical staff (doctors, nurses) account for between 10% ad 20% of COVID deaths in America.

That FEMA theft is an explicit act that is well known to put the lives of medical workers at risk - certainly accounting for deaths of medical workers who were not (and STILL are not) properly protected.
