    Since Newt Gingrich the Republicans have been breaking laws, traditions, and everything else they can think of, for partisan advantage.

    A few years ago the saboteur Moscow Mitch broke tradition and said no nominee this close to an election. He just said he was going to break his own rule. No morality, no principles, nothing but the lust for power.

    Over the long run, you can't govern that way, the country will fall into chaos or worse.

    Btw, do you have to project that much??

    The Constitution demands it

    The only question is should the Senate follow the Biden Rule or not...and I think the Biden Rule has caused so much division in the United States it needs to be done away with....I think the Majority in the Senate agrees now.

    Just like Biden's Crime Bill had a horrible impact, his Biden Rule has too....and it's up to the GOP controlled Senate to correct Biden's horrible policies.

    There no proof her wish was a real wish unless she’s on video saying it. Doesn’t take much for a “friend” to claim she said something to politically rev up the Dem base.

    We’ve heard lots of things said about Trump from “sources” that all are BS.

    McConnell broke tradition by denying Merrick Garland a hearing. This had f all to do with rules.

    And I can prove it, because he is about to break that 'rule', which he created.

    Yeah, they keep blaming Biden for the rioters among the protests, too, claiming that if he gets elected, there will be more of the same. They don't want to acknowledge the fact that Trump has been in charge for almost four years, and this is therefore Trump's America.

    First, lets get something straight. I've never been aligned with any political party since I believe both parties are totally corrupt and the main reason America is in the sorry state that it is. So your "you guys" label does not apply to me. I've been a life-long independent and am very proud of that.

    That being said, both sides are guilty of injecting partisan viewpoints when rendering their decisions, which is why it is important to have balance on the SCOTUS. Unfortunately, in recent years both sides try to pack the court with either hardcore liberals or conservatives instead of looking for balance. All things being what they are, this is the system we use in the United States to resolve issues that come up and end up in the court system to be resolved.

    To fail to utilize the system would result in anarchy and this is something our forefathers wanted avoid. Thus, in spite of increased partisan hackery, the system has worked relatively well so far.

    Typical Trumpist reply. Trump has no shame, doesn't care when he gets caught lying, which happens daily. McConnell also has no shame, actually snickering over the fact that he gets to install another hand-picked justice in spite of the blatant hypocrisy. So it's no surprise to me that Trump supporters and other far right wingers also have no shame and no honor.

    Huh? Your nominee for US President...was once a Senator and Chair of the Judicial Committee...and made the rule that McConnell followed.



    Now I get that it caused great division in practice...like a lot of Joe Biden's policies....so it's been done away with.

    Are you now in favor of the Biden Rule?

    If you're against manipulation of SCOTUS by political means, then you should be against McConnell's publicly stated plan that the Senate GOP will not allow any Democrat elected to the Oval Office to get a single hearing for any justice he or she may nominate. He promised that in 2016 when he refused to vet Merrick Garland. There is no more blatant political manipulation than that.
