If the New York attorney general succeeds in doing this, the Democrats will lose. This sends a chilling message that the government can take anything it wants with no due process. You can’t vote for that unless you are a government insider.

The Democrats need to pay for this at the ballot box. Perhaps that will show some of them that they have gone too far. It goes way beyond Donald Trump.

The only "message " that comes out of this: Don't mess with the law. Just because one inherited a load of money , does not mean one can keep getting away with sleazy activity. The bloke has a long history of manipulating information for his financial benefit. It is Karma. Deal with it.

Don't make it any more "pollical" than it has to be. None of this is pleasant........but reality is HE brought this on HIMSELF. No need to defend or protect him. HE is accountable for HIS actions. By defending him, one is giving him the message that the law does not apply to him. and that he is somehow "exceptional". Which he is NOT.
