    Sounds like indoctrination to me.

    You posted quotes, not links.

1 - We can read about the past as not to make the same mistakes.
    2 - Learn some history

I think the problem is the OP is refering to public schools.

It sure is. But it's teaching kids to make their country better. Is that a bad cause?

    You asked:

    Post the link(s) then :)

I had already posted the link. (Post 5) I then quoted out of it.

That's not my argument. My argument is the OP's source and you are being hyperbolic. To compare to Hitler, guilty of one of the worst genocides in history, and to say that what's happening now is exactly the same as back then, is hyperbolic. And being hyperbolic serves no purpose in a debate.

So it's ok to indoctrinate as long as it is something you agree with? I'm I suppose to take you seriously now?

There is a word for that type of thinking.....hypo.....something.

    TruthOrFiction.Com?

I’m not being hyperbolic at all. You are just looking at Hitler the monster, not the way Hitler achieved his power. Indoctrination of the Germany's youth was one way.

Yes they do.... Our Lord, Our Heavenly Father, God, etc... are present throughout the states' constitutions. By left wing standards they would not be able to be read, present, or studied in schools.

It appears to work for me.

But the OP's source was talking about him when he was in power. Hitler didn't teach them to hate the Jews, that was already there.

Here is another and when it's finished you can find many, many more teaching kids to hate and kill.

As long as they are teaching kids to be better, (*)(*)(*)(*) right it is. These kids aren't taught to hate, over throw the government. They are taught to do the right things. The Christian thing. Go out and tell others of Jesus, go help your neighbor. Get involved with your government so you have a say in who is elected. Respect your President and flag. Tell me what so wrong in those things. They put a movie out on this summer Christian school. Not a real school. It was very controversial. But there was nothing in it that taught kids to hate. I don't think they are even doing it anymore. But I love how people ignore what Muslim children are taught and keep complaining of Christian teachings.

So you admit your position is hypocritical. See that wasn't that hard was it?

If you think it's the same, you show me where they tell these American kids to hate and kill. Show me where they ask them to over throw their government. Show me what is so bad that they are being taught.

I was sent to a Jesus camp when I was 8 and the entire last day was like that...

I changed me forever. It left me confused and scared, for months i felt like a war was being waged in me head.
Then one night as i was leaning off the rail of a boat sailing along the coast of Alaska, I stared into the night sky and thought to myself... If I jumped into that water... would Jesus save me?
It then dawned on me that no... he wouldn't save me... he wouldn't save anyone. He had never saved anyone I had met, or read about, and probably wouldn't do so in future. hell, he wouldn't even help anyone.
He hadn't saved JFK, he had not kept my parents from getting divorced, he had not kept my father from becoming a gambling addict, he hadn't stopped the Russians... (this was the 60's)

I had a massive life changing epiphany.

I have not practiced any religion since then and became an atheist as soon as I understood the science behind it.

I think Jesus Camp goes a little to far with it. But this woman wants to teach kids to be on fire for Jesus. She wants them to be as strong for Christ as Muslim kids are taught for Islam. Although she doesn't teach them anything like Muslim kids are being taught.

If I remember right they also speak in tongues which I don't believe in. I went to a church one time with my wife when she wanted to try a different church and they that did that and it made me uneasy. Never went back.

I'll guarantee you one thing, when you talk to these kids, they show you nothing but respect. While I wouldn't send my kids to Jesus Camp, many parents are into that kind of religion.

I don't expect any atheist to except it. I don't expect you to except anything religious and that's fine with me. But don't call people idiots and crazy that do. Don't put down their belief. It's not hurting you for them to believe and if it makes them better citizens, how does that hurt you or society?

She might want them to scorn the book, put it down, but I doubt very much she is telling them to go to a store or library and take that book out and burn it. That is stealing and they wouldn't do that.

    Lets break this down:

As long as they are teaching kids to be better, (*)(*)(*)(*) right it is. These kids aren't taught to hate, over throw the government. They are taught to do the right things. The <<Insert religion\cult here>> thing. Go out and tell others of <<Insert deity here>>, go help your neighbor. Get involved with your government so you have a say in who is elected. Respect your President and flag. Tell me what so wrong in those things. They put a movie out on this summer <<Insert religion\cult here>> school. Not a real school. It was very controversial. But there was nothing in it that taught kids to hate. I don't think they are even doing it anymore. But I love how people ignore what <<Insert other religion\cult here>>children are taught and keep complaining of <<Insert religion\cult here>>teachings

Does the specific religion matter? Nope. Its all indoctrination. No matter which religion you follow, yours is always the best religion, the most peaceful, the most righteous, the most............

If your a true believer of the Christian religion, it is a very peaceful religion. Jesus did nothing but preach love they neighbor, not to kill or judge others. Turn the other cheek when people hit you. Help the poor. There is no hate built in the Christian religion. But you do have different sects of Christians that take the Bible differently. But it is a peaceful religion.
