What a nonsense. Germany is Germany and France is France. Although we have different views and lifestyles in Germany and France we are able to agree in lots of things. This has just simple a lot to do with common roots, rationality and positive emotions and the hope to be able to live as neighbors in a good and better future. Specially for us Germans it would be a terrible idea France could be a second Germany. We would prefer to be able to be more like French people and to live a more Mediterranean lifestyle.

Because we have to minimize the risks for the survival of all mankind and so we have to minimize not only nuclear weapons but - more important - also the number of nations with nuclear weapons. A nation which develops new nuclear weapons is just simple criminal. "The world" - specially also all nations which don't have nukes - doesn't allow this. Bad enough that the worst idiots in the world still have nukes and people from this nations try to speak continuously bullshit in context with nukes. Nukes don't help North Korea. Nukes stabilize only the illusion real might depends not on learning and humanity.

You appear to have used some "IMG" files of some kind which did not produce anything. I suppose you didn't check to see if they produced anything, either. Take a look at your original post (above) and see for yourself.

At any rate, if you have some documented EVIDENCE that overturns these recorded FACTS, please share them:

(from my earlier request in an earlier post)

"1. North Korea invaded South Korea, starting what has been known as "The Korean War".
    2. The Korean War, which began in 1950, has not ever officially ended. There was only an 'armistice' in 1953.
    "

If you don't have anything of substance, at least please stop repeating that you do. It only makes you look ridiculous, and I have known you to be much better than that....

Germany's love for sumptuous 30-day vacation 'holidays' on warm beaches in southern countries is nothing new. Too bad, then, that you lost WWII, for you would have had LOTS of lovely beaches to roam around naked on. But I digress....

You and the French have forged a very good, mutually-helpful relationship since WWII. Truly, I'm happy for both of you. I do believe that Germany does a MUCH better job managing its economy than France, or any other country in Europe, for that matter. It is unfortunate that both France and Italy do such a miserable job of trying to make their own versions of socialism work. The only kind of socialism in the world that seems to work reasonably well is the German model.

In the forthcoming alliance that I see Germany and Russia cultivating between themselves, France, Italy, and the little "bottom-feeder" sluggards of the EU will "tag along". But the two big partners, Germany and Russia, will control ultimately everything from the Atlantic Ocean to the northern half of the Pacific Ocean, and this will make you secure, healthy, and very prosperous. Be happy! By contrast, we in America are in a downhill slide that will take us straight into the toilet. We have no worthwhile future in the direction we are going, but Germany does! Rejoice in your future, for it will be a good one.

This is exactly what I see, cut-and-pasted below, that you posted above:

"From Korea's Place n the Sun: A Modern History by Bruce Cummings:

    More from Cummings:

And the heart of the matter:

To characterize the war as being "started" by the North in 1950 is to ignore virtually all the context and history that led up to that point. It was a mutual conflict that had been in progress for years. 1950 was merely the culmination."

    I tried clicking on [IMG]

I will try to figure out a solution. They were excerpts from a book on the Korean war taken as screenshots. The link to the book is available in the original post, so if you want to read them directly, then just go to page 237. Google Books will let you read some thirty pages or so, which is more than enough to explain my position on the matter.

I have always known Ethereal to be an honest, ethical member of this forum, going back a long time. I'm certain that there is a reasonable explanation for this posting problem (indeed, I have had some on occasion myself).

Ethereal does have a different understanding of the origins of the Korean War than I do, and its resolution. Nevertheless, I'm certain that if we focus on facts we can easily get to the bottom of this quickly. The war began in 1950, and the armistice which suspended it was in 1953. We can work around those dates which we can all agree are facts.

Good grief. When I said so, I thought not only a little about German tourists competing with Russians and Englishmen who's the better idiot with more worse manners.

Are you crazy? Germany nearly never wan any war in history and the few wars we wan - I remember in the moment only one - had no better results than the wars we lost. Too bad that WW2 did happen at all.

    Un rien d'ironie?

I doubt about that you see the real problems of Germany. Statistics is one thing - reality another side. Life is not so easy in Germany.

    Empty phrase.

Not to forget the control about the "Mare Moscoviense" on the backside of the moon.

Why should I be happy if someone has to take care what's going on the Atlantic and Pacific? Better would be no one would need any control at all. Fortunately still exists the NATO.

So change the direction, the phrase or the glasses.

Even in the best of all possible futures of Germany I will die. So something seems to be wrong with this country here.

What wins he? Information how the USA or anyone else could eliminate his rockets or him? I guess such a rocket could cost him much more than a hundred million dollar. What would you do with a hundred million dollar? A barbecue?

Kim wins the war of words against Trump. Didn't Trump say for the military to shoot down the weapons?

Kim Jong-un is a tyrant of a little poor country, which suffers under his incompetence. Mr. president Donald Trump is the president of the leading nation of the western world. Kim Jong-un is not in the position of a winner. He needs a chance for a retreat without to drive him to total desperation.
