Um, your article proves the point you are trying to argue against.

The NFL's official sponsors are suffering due to their association with the NFL. Non-NFL sponsors are doing just fine. The very article you linked says:

"(Pizza Hut), which is not an NFL sponsor, also said it wasn't seeing an impact from the controversy over football players kneeling during the national anthem. Papa John's, an NFL sponsor, had said customers have a negative view of the chain's association with the NFL."

Hear me now and believe me later: If no solution is found, there will be a rule implemented in the next CBA requiring players to stand. The league will have to make some sort of concession but this is going to happen, albeit not for a few more years.

Oh right, big shock coming from the papa john - a major shill for trump. Funny that other sponsors aren't seeing the same affects. BWW and Kohls in particular are reportedly happy with their relationship with the NFL. Why wouldn't they be? The whole point is to get your product in front of as many viewers as possible. Even with the down ratings the NFL is still one of the best options. Wake up man, Americans don't care!

Nope. If the NFL fixes the issue, viewership will eventually return.

What makes you so certain about that? Most sponsors would not make such a statement because they keep those things internal.
You seem to think it is a black and white issue when it is not. The NFL may be the highest rated programming on TV, but their ratings are down and they are on a trend going downward faster than anyone else.

Even when you're #1, lower ratings means less advertising revenue. And now one of their biggest sponsors has weighed in about the damage being done to his company. Not a single network or league executive is going to care in the slightest whom he voted for if he stops advertising when his current deal expires.

Do you have anything at all to back up that assertion? Or is it just a fuzzy feeling?

One of the biggest sponsors is using the nfl as a scapegoat. And coming from a huge trump donor to boot. I've already linked to a story reporting that both Buffalo Wild Wings and Kohls are happy with their NFL deals. Accept the fact that this is only an issue between the ears of a pretty small % of the population.

Whats wrong with being a trump supporter?

The fans are offended by the black player disrespect for America

    So is trump

    And so is Papa John’s

He is not the only sponsor that has noticed lower ratings, and may be getting some kickbacks and free air time from the networks to make good.

Get your head out of the sand.

Sure there are some. Are they causing ratings to decrease in any meaningful manner?

    I think so

A big portion of the NFL fan base are conservative patriots

    And they are tuning out

People that pay money to watch players stand for the anthem that lasts for a couple of minutes are ****ing idiots.

Now if the players decide not to play the game anymore, then I'm mad.

Question to the NFL boycotters, can you name me a time in your life where you got excited to go to ANY sporting event to hear the local singer sing the national anthem? Did you pay all that $$ for a local singer, or to watch a sporting event? If you chose option 1, You are an idiot.

Right for an anthem that is never shown on TV unless it is a big time event. Most of the time viewers at home see commercials while the anthem is being played.

    Amazing isn't it. LOL

Next year, they will go back to the old days and allow players to stay in the locker room during the anthem. Then Trump's dumb ass will tell his idolizers to be angry at that, and they will. LMAO

Kaepernick sat on the bench for two weeks before anyone noticed. People know now because it is a hot botton issue because the President decided to get involved. Before that I bet you couldn't name one player other than Kaepernick that didn't stand.

That's quite a conclusion you have there. Care to describe the steps you took to reach it?
