They're both 33 years old. Is there hypocrisy here? Is Kaepernick kneeling and Tebow kneeling the same thing:

Tebow is not doing it in protest against the US.

Sounds like they are just offering TT a shot to show he might still be able to play with an option for a 1 year contract if he can cut it. Not really money in the bank yet.

    They needed a tight-end, not a quarterback.

Actually, the first 2 questions that should be asked....Did Colin Kaepernick even try out for the Jaguars? If he did try out, what position did he try for? Any and all? Or did he want to be QB as that is the position that he is the most used to and didn't want any other position?

Think everyone hollering about this is ignoring these two very important questions that could more than likely answer what they are outraged/in glee about.

Just an fyi ... Jaguars extended him an offer as a tight-end, not a quarterback.

Tebow is just an awesome player and generally an all-around good man.

Kapernick is also just an awesome player and generally an all-around good man.

Both are treasures for the NFL, no doubt about it.

Certain individuals' cases here would be much stronger if one were not to use the rabidly racist, xenophobic, often very lying Daily Caller as a source.

Do you actually have something decent and honest as a source? Because, you see, I'm a Liberal and I think it's just great that Tebow is in. He has the abilities and a proven record.

Kapernick should also be in, for the very same reasons. But race does not need to have anything to do with it, unless of course, rabid racists are just itching for a headline so they can say they "owned the lib" or some such worthless malarkey.

Better luck next time in writing something that is actually substantial and perhaps even substantiated. :) Wonders do happen, you know.

The publishing company owned by Colin Kaepernick is editing and soon to publish a collection of essays calling for the abolition of police and prisons.

“Today, I’m excited to share that we at @KaepernickPublishing will be releasing our first title, ABOLITION FOR THE PEOPLE: THE MOVEMENT FOR A FUTURE WITHOUT POLICING & PRISONS, on 10/12/21,” Kaepernick wrote on Instagram. “This anthology builds on decades of organizing and writing against policing & prisons & features the work of over 30 contributors plus a reader’s guide, infographics, & cover art by Emory Douglas.

What team would want a QB without the ability to reason and be logical. Would you hire a moron to QB your pro football team? Right. Those demanding Kap be called up by a team are just looking at his skin color and trying to sound "football savvy". Good QB's are more than skin deep. You can get a machine to throw a bomb but a QB must have a brain. That eliminates Kap the moron.

If I were an NFL team I would not bring in a player that just published a book calling for the abolition of police. The NFL is an entertainment business, and as such will not have people that drive away their customers. There is far too many negatives with Kap and his upside is very limited.

As for Tebow, he is there was a good distraction to take the pressure off of Trevor Lawrence. Tebow is loved in that part of the country and will be more of a story than the rookie QB. That is why Meyer brought him on.

any nfl team that thinks kaepernick is talented enough to get them to the super bowl would take him, and his baggage.

i suspect the jaguars (who have zero odds of reaching the playoffs) are counting on a local favorite to put a few butts into the grandstand .

Why do you think Daily Caller is racist, xenophobic, and lies?

In any case it isn't all that hard to find other sources that talks about what the OP talked about.

Steelers LB Devin Bush calls out Jaguars for potential Tim Tebow signing (247sports.com)
The common thread between Tim Tebow and Colin Kaepernick - ProFootballTalk (nbcsports.com)
Tim Tebow may be in the NFL after 9 years away, and it raised more questions about why Colin Kaepernick never got another shot (msn.com)

Just because you think they're both great doesn't mean that others do, or that others don't see the controversy.

I do not know about zero, their division might be the weakest in the NFL this season. The Texans are a mess, the Colts are putting on their eggs on Wentz. Only the Titans are really a sure thing.

ok. i'll move the jags from "zero" to "not bloody likely."

if tebow is in shape i'm surprised the saints did not pick him up. coach peyton kind of likes an undersized qb who can throw the hell out of the ball.

Hahahah. I wonder if Krishna goes around raping women like his followers do?

Oh you mean you can’t blame a religion for the actions of people who don’t follow what it teaches?

He is not good enough to be a NFL QB. And this is coming from a life long Gator fan. He might have the size to be a good TE and they could use him for a few trick plays every now and then. Every time he has the ball behind the line of scrimmage there is a threat he could throw the ball.

But more than anything, he gives people something to talk about other than the new rookie QB. That alone could be worth his tiny contract.
