Because your argument is beyond stupid. Comparing taking a b0ner pill to getting an abortion is something only a liberal or a child would do.

So you believe in forcing women to do things that are not a medical requirement as part of their procedure. Got it.

And wanting to place laws restricting rights to the medical rights of women while shamelessly not doing the same for men is misogynistic at best.

The ultrasound is necessary to perform the abortion. All the new law would do is require the abortionist to show the patient the screen before beginning the abortion. My understanding is that women sometimes ask to see the screen, and are always refused.

When a man is capable of having a child, you can make misogyny arguments. Until then, it's more hyperbolic childishness seeped in emotionalism.

Here's the truth, liberals and abortion lovers don't want women to see exactly what they are doing, because any woman with a conscience will think twice about destroying a growing child. It's much easier when the abortion pimps tell you, "it's a simple procedure, nothing to worry about, all your troubles will be over in a few minutes".

Anyway, an ultrasound is not an invasive procedure. The technician rubs jelly on the woman's belly and then places a monitor there. And this is done by the abortionist so he can perform the abortion, so there is no reason the patient shouldn't be allowed to see what's going on in her own womb. I really can't see how anyone can be against such a law, unless they just want more abortions to happen regardless of what women want.

The flat-earthers here, in addition to providing ABSOLUTELY NO, REPEAT, NO, reason why an ultrasound is or should be MEDICALLY, REPEAT, MEDICALLY required, have deliberately ignored the point. In addition to being MEDICALLY UNNECESSARY, although, for the religious fanatics, politically convenient, this is the same group, during the debate on Romneycare/Obamacare/healthcare reform, screamed themselves hoarse about how OH, SO, EVIL!!!! it would be for the government to impose standards (which the government had no intention of doing, but why spoil a good lie) on what should be a medical decision. Now that it suits their electoral purpose (and distracts from the fact that they have no other programs remotely sane), they are in favor of MAKING MANDATORY, FORCING an unnecessary procedure on people.

Now, if a woman desiring an abortion, wants and asks for an ultrasound, there are no laws of which I am aware that prevent her from getting one. However, the primitives and porridge-heads want to make it mandatory.

What's the difference? If the government is not supposed to impose itself on medical decisions, why is it now a great idea for the government to impose itself on medical decisions?

Oh, yes. I forgot. It the religious right wants to cram their religion down other's throats, and probably make those others pay for it to boot, THEN it's just fine.

By the way, of course the GOP is not conducting any WAR ON WOMEN. Just ask them.

But is a man not capable of spreading his DNA and knocking up several women? Why do we hold the other half more accountable for the actions of reproduction when it takes two to tango?

Aside from the comment that this clearly shows your sexist views, there's a lot I took out from this post. It shows that you..

You acknowledge that a ultrasound before an abortion is merely a scare tactic.

    You are clearly sexists

You have no idea about how abortion clinics are ran.

No one is arguing against the right of a female to see the ultrasound. You and the other numb skulls here are demanding a woman should see the ultrasound regardless of her consent to see it anyway.

Now you're shouting and carrying on. There's no point in having a discussion with you.

"Now you're shouting and carrying on. There's no point in having a discussion with you."

Rough translation - you and your friends tried to dodge the issue, you got caught, you can't deny that you tried to dodge and got caught, so you run away.

"I'll talk to you when you calm down."

Rough translation, you'll talk AT me when I stop telling it like YOU and your friends are. Ain't gonna happen. The GOP and their crowd play rough but don't like it when the favor is returned.

    1. You are still dodging the issue, and

    2. You want nice? Watch Barney.

From the BBC today - so much for the so-called "medical" reasons (excuses) given.

    "Medical groups opposed

Protesters from both sides filled the state capitol on Tuesday
The filibuster drew nationwide attention and made Ms Davis a heroine of the US abortion rights movement.

In addition to banning abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy, the bill would require all abortion procedures to be performed at a surgical centre, and mandate all doctors performing abortions have admitting privileges at a hospital within 30 miles (48km) of the clinic.

Only six of Texas' abortion clinics can be classified as surgical centres, and all are in major metropolitan areas, according to the Texas Tribune. Critics say the provision would force some women to travel hundreds of miles to have an abortion, while supporters say it would protect women's health and the foetus.

Among the bill's opponents are the Texas Medical Association, the Texas Hospital Associations and the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology."

Here's the thing. The pro-abort crowd are against ALL regulation of abortion, even reasonable regulations to protect the health and safety of women.

And prohibiting abortion after 20 weeks is also very reasonable. By that time, you don't have a tiny "clump of cells" you have a fully developed human being in the womb. Even most abortion doctors agree that abortions should not be performed at this stage.
