It's not like we don't have ample reason to be. I grew up in times when integrity was honorable and revered. Morality was an absolute, singular, immutable. Everything flipped in the last five decades of liberal politics. Nothing is sacred anymore, nothing is real, everything we held to be noble and pure went down a ******n rabbit hole. How did hundreds of thousands of years of consensus on such matters magically change over night???? The liberal world view is just plain effing nuts. Cynical? You bet I'm cynical, at least when it comes to listening to anything from the left.

 

You got it half right, it flipped due to the conservative tribal allegiance to a political party that only wants to steal everything out of this country and don't care about human lives. The republican GOP are solely to blame for the total and almost complete devastation of this country and our economy. Do you believe our economy is going to rebound? No, it is not. Why do you suppose that is? It's because Republicans voted for huge tax breaks for the filthy rich so the country has no foundation anymore. This country can't rebuild bridges, roads, dams and other infrastructure without the tax dollars that were coming in from wealthy corporations and millionaires. We're gone.

And who are his peers? Oh I don't doubt Fauci's credentials or what he has accomplished in the past but somewhere along the line he went over to the other side. You cannot cozy up to people like the Clintons and remain clean.

 

Prove that he 'went over to the other side'. That's laughable on it's face if you could only comprehend that this man is a professional to the bone. Perhaps it's because he'll say something that Trump and Fox don't like hearing -- like facts.

Read transcripts or listen to any of his interviews after March, there's nothing but facts in any of them. Maybe you just aren't accustomed to hearing facts from a real professional expert since you watch Fox.

Incidentally, who are your personal mainstream news sources? Can you name at least 3 legitimate news agencies online or print that you trust for the majority of your news? I can name at least 10 that I read or listen to.

If you are trusting any sources that don't vet their information sources and not relying on information from mainstream media, then you're being fooled by illegitimate news sources.
