President Obama Announces the 2012 Launch of African Americans for Obama - Racist?

No, I don't we are talking about the white/black issue. If president bush, purposely made a video....DIRECTLY talking to JUST the white population of this country it wouldn't and shouldn't be tolerated....PERIOD!

If bush wanted to speak directly to Christians, I would have no problem with that...and perhaps he did...he was a Christian. But, if he had spoken directly to a race of people saying that he excepted their votes....that would be insanity.

Now, flash forward to Obama....everything is accepted by the democrats....it's absolutely disgusting.

This country is made up of all races, all Americans. Him singling one group out based on their race.....would to me make it two sets of Americans....one black and one white. The sad part is blacks don't even realize he is doing it. If I were black I would be insulted by this race baiting idiot.

 

I am pretty sure black folks have already seen our fair share from 1776 until 2008.

I was referring to his launch of the "African Americans for Obama" campaign as redundant. He will likely get most of the black vote anyway so it's pointless.

 

you frame the debate in that manner... I disagree. Black Americans are an ethnic group... just like Irish Americans are an ethnic group... but even moreso. Irish catholic Americans were treated like dog feces by WASP America when THEY got here as well... the big difference, their skin was white and they weren't owned as property... but their lives pretty much sucked out loud. And when one of their own made it to the white house... it was a magical day for them... just like it was a magical day for black Americans when THEIR man finally made it there. White Anglo Saxon Protestant Americans have ALWAYS run the show and they still do. For them to get all indignant about black Americans being excited about the presidency and for the first black president to speak to his ethnic group that had for so long been downtrodden and OWNED by WASP america... that's just plain ol' fear of the uppity black men who are gonna come take your women in the night... it's baseless and it is racist.
