    well....there is a much easier way of proofing how screwed up the Russian economy is right now: The size of the Russian economy is about the size of Italy.

    Russia has 3x the amount people as Ital and 57x the amount space. They have oil, they have gas, they have coal, they have gold, they have diamonds, they have wood, sea, vast amounts of the best agricultural lands, tons of fresh water, rivers, connectivity to basically every ocean and direct links to most of the biggest economies on the planet. Their country used to have a good education system and a good standing in the world. They have literally (and I cannot emphasize LITERALLY enough) EVERYTHING it takes to be the richest and most independent country on this planet and the best place to live in the world by a mahooooosive and I mean mahooooooosive margin.

    It have could been......COULD have been one of the most successful and diverse economies on the planet.....

    But the reality is that they are really just a petrol station... a pit stop that is run by a mixture of mafia and former KGB thugs offering middle class living to the people of St. Petersburg, Moscow and Rostov and basically 3rd world conditions to everyone else outside these cities. They have given over to waging war against their neighboring countries because they still didn't understand that they could easily bind friends to them by being nice and supportive rather than menacing and imperialistic.

    It's the saddest and most disappointing story on earth, second only to knowing that the people living there, don't understanding this and still supporting that regime they currently have which is enforcing exactly what is described above.

    Russia is doing just fine .. an economy growing faster than all advanced economies .. this talk about 3rd world conditions preposterous nonsense -- need to take a drive through the south side of Chicago to find that.

    That's because your 'points' are nonsense and propaganda. You've never set foot in the country so I don't expect you to know anything about it....and your posts show it.

    The IMF is making the claim about Russia's economy, although they are a little light in the numbers....still....after revision after revision over the past couple of years.

    The thing with sanctions....it keeps money from outflowing the country, which means it stays in the local economy....do I need to explain everything to you?

    Seems like your beef is with the IMF. Please project your propaganda to them.

    I don't have to 'set foot' in a country to know that:
    a) Russia's economy is on a war footing;
    b) It's the one spending it's cash reserves to fund the outputs used in that war; and
    c) It's also the one purchasing those very same outputs;

    Your the one who claims to be the 'Warren Buffet of Moscow'. Care to explain to me exactly how that economic policy setting is supposed to work long term?

    How so? 98% of them have filed false asylum applications in order to commit asylum fraud. That is a fact.

    The source linked was Inside Russia and is a well known (in the west) Russian blogger/YouTuber. He also lists official Russian government sources.

    Have fun cleaning your outhouse, comrade.

    I have linked proof of that before. 98% of the claims get rejected as unfounded by the courts. That is just a fact. Live with it.

    I do not know what they talk on the youtube, they can talk whatever they want and that may have no connection to the reality. The reality is that here there is no law about permission for kids to work in factories or anywhere else in Russia, neither it is discussed in Duma. It is illegal.

    The guy is Russian and is quoting official Russian government sources. Funny how you say the exact opposite of what the Russian government is saying.

    Specifically, it is Tartarstan which legalized Child labor while the Russian government legalized 14 year olds to work in military factories to help ease labor shortages.

    See there you go again with pathetic ad homs.....the defense of those who've lost the argument.

    Yeah, you do need to be on the ground, as it bypasses the fake news you swallow as truth.

    The one thing you got right about Russia is that it does have cash reserves, which is more than can be said about any other 1st world country. They are actually solvent, as opposed to the US with its $34 trillion debt and no cash reserves other than a printing machine.

    The reason why Russia's economy is doing well is because their government has fiscal discipline.....something we've not had in the US in decades.

    And for you people with the 'GDP' argument, if a government borrows 5 trillion and then turns around and spends 5 trillion, that's 10 trillion added to the GDP.

    If Russia borrowed as much money as the US, it would have the world's 3rd largest economy according to the GDP geniuses. GDP is a :icon_shithappens: metric.

    RuZzia has "fiscal discipline "?

    Yes spending $800 mln daily on a "special military failure" is sure disciplined....LOL.

    What about 500 000 residents in Orenburg who are drinking water from puddles?.....and whose homes are toast from 5 ft of water?

    I'm hearing Moscow will spend 200 million on "ribbons" for May 9 ceremonies.....wow!
