SC high school bans American flags at football game

It shouldn't matter, this is the United States of america and if we want to take a (*)(*)(*)(*)ing American flag to a *******n sports game we should be able too, no matter how bad it hurts the feelings of (*)(*)(*)(*)ing regressive a and their candy ass ilk.

I don't hear you (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)ing about Hispanics or any left wing dip (*)(*)(*)(*) burning the American flag in others face which is considered extremely offensive, so why does THIS bother you?

 

I don't have a problem with you swinging your drawers in the air if you want to, but why don't they bring the flags to the game and wave them when they are playing a predominately white team?

I am from that area about 30 miles up the mountain across the state line, it used to be confederate flags they were bringing to the game.

Why are you assuming they didn't/don't? I would imagine most teams would never complain about someone with an American flag so it was never a story before.

Conclusion is that liberals can make Anything racist these days, from the American flag to a bowl of cocoa pebbles.

You have American citizens burning the flag. There is a flag pole on every school yard in America. There is a flag at every game.

So if you are sitting in the stands and someone is waving a flag and blocking your view, you are considered as spineless. Wow.

 

Travelers Rest, SC is a small town.. maybe 5,000 people.

 

Maybe they could have said NO flags allowed? But that isn't what the principal said, and not for the reason you are trying to spin this to either.

No, I don't see that anyone said that - in this incident or any other. If you think someone DID say that, please cite.

I do see concern for how the flag was used.

And, frankly, the way it was used was an insult to the flag and to our nation.

There are reasons for that kind of behavior to be terminated.

Maybe they should cancel the next game and hold a required lesson on what our flag stands for and what it does NOT stand for, what kind of actions respect our flag, what Americans have done to protect our flag since its creation, etc.

 

You know that they don't have the flag at games? When was the last time you attended football games for this high school?

I have a 17 year old. It seems more "trendy" now for teens to fly the flag. He has a large American flag in his room, lots of tshirts, stickers, etc with the flag. Must be a little racist (*)(*)(*)(*), huh?

 

I agree it that was what the prohibiting was about. The school/stadium has the authority to ban large banners or flags and they should because they become obstructions. The only picture I saw was the one student who had a LARGE flag. I don't care what kind of flag it was I wouldn't want the guy in front of me waving it all through the game.

But this principle was SPECIFICALLY saying American Flags would not be allowed. I haven't read where he said "If they are larger than.......". IOW I couldn't even bring in one the size of the pom-poms or towels they hand out to people coming in. Now THAT is wrong and he does not have the authority to do that unless they ban ANYTHING a person might wave or display.

 

Boy oh boy. First people who dislike muslims because some in their religion killed infidels and this is called racism. Now, Hispanics are disliked because they are a little darker than white folks, wait, that is not why some dislike them, but for being illegally here, breaking our laws. And now this is racism too. Pretty soon, racism will lose its original meaning, as it had when the south was a racist area, and real racism was exercised.

The black folks should be highly insulted that racism is used to denote things that has nothing to do with racism. But, then these same jackwagons accused trump of being a racist when he said he wants to build a wall to keep people who have no legal right to come here, from coming here.

I just wish people were more accurate with their language so it does not degrade to the point that it becomes meaningless. So the other day when a purse was snatched here at a grocery store the cops wanted a description of he thief. She told the height, the body shape, the clothes he was wearing, but would not tell if the guy was white or black. She was afraid of being called a racist.

The people in this nation are becoming bonkers. The left side boys must not be very well schooled in definition of words. They use the word racism to cover a plethora of things. When its real meaning is pretty limited. They used to be smarter than that. So what happened to them?

So these days, if you are a left wingnut, being against illegal immigration, if they are from south of the border, means you are a racist. Pretty soon up will mean down, down will mean up, sick will mean well, mad will mean content, water will mean dirt, sky will mean earth, and a dry pit will mean a lake. And a total break down in coherent communication by language. I do not think we should put up with this bastardization of our language. It might turn too much of the nation into dimwits.

Do they still allow each nation to wave their flags when they win an event at the Olympics? If so, just wait, that too will be seen by some of these modern liberals as racism. I expect them to rail about the iconic picture and images of the American soldiers raising the American flag at Iwo Jima. Racist they will say. And yet if you object to the Mexican flag being waved by those who want us to give the southwest back to mexico, that too makes you racist. Looks like unless you are a loony tunes liberal, you are racist. And if you point out how loony tunes they are, yep, racism.

Right wing phony outrage of the day thread. Usually involves blacks or another minority doing something "wrong" in the eyes of right wingers. Those same right wingers then play the victim card and blame everything on liberals/minorities. It often turns out to be a bogus story, like this one, where the right made a big deal out of nothing. Rinse and repeat.

 

FOX has to rile up their viewers with lies in order to avoid the fact that the current GOP nominee is complete and utter garbage. By keeping the right wing lemmings busy with false stories like this, they help them avoid the fact that the nominee of their party is embarrassing them in front of the entire country.

 

Just unreal how dishonest they are. Like literally, their story and what they talked about was the high school taking down the flag and not allowing any US flags. They made it seem 100% that it was the schools decision to take down a flying flag to not insult the mostly hispanic team. They said nothing about it being them not allowing a group of students in that had a big flag they wanted to use to push their racism on the other team. Just crazy how dishonest their reporting is. No wonder Republicans are so messed up.

 

It reminds me of that story a few years back where some white kids in high school were told to not wear American flag t-shirts on cinco de mayo. On the surface, it seemed wrong, because the right made it seem like the school unfairly told the white kids not to wear the shirts so they would not offend the "hispanic" kids. Right wingers of course played the victim card every chance they got, and of course bashed liberals relentlessly. Turns out what really happened in that case was the white kids were wearing the shirts ONLY on cinco de mayo (never on any other day) as a specific attempt to push their racism by taunting others. Which is sad because that's extremely anti-American to be taunting others with the flag to push a racist agenda.

 

I know there is a record Im asking if you followed your own philosophy. I already know the answer I just wanted to make you acknowledge the hypocrisy which you did in the last sentence.
Waving a flag is also subjective as to whether or not its sportsman like behavior. Seems the entire planet disagrees with you since they wave a lot of flags at the olympics especially when they win. Are they all wrong too?
