I told you how they were offended by being called non-Americans and Mexicans. Again, why are you for people using the flag to taunt others and call them non-americans?

Well, quite frankly, im sick of folks making blanket statements about the left....like the last part of your previous reply. Its wearisome and annoying.

Where did you read anyone was calling them non Americans or Mexicans? You can't invent things to support your argument. That's not how this works.

I'm glad to see your input on this thread.

So you've never made a blanket statement regarding conservatives?

Trump been doing his very very best to made Latinas feel like they are not Americans including talking about taking away birth right citizenship from them.

In other word you are not a US citizen no matter if your was born here and raised here if your parents was not legal you might find yourself deported to some other nation that you have no tied to one fine day.

Such nonsense seem design to take away the feelings of pride of being an American.

How did this topic deflect to Trump?

But okay, if you want to play, I agree with Trump. Two illegal parents cross the border illegally, the woman gives birth, then the child is a citizen, which makes the parents unable to be deported. It's a loophole that many illegals know how to play. It needs to stop.

Okay, back to the topic now.

I hate to tell you this, but just because you become a US citizens you don't cut off ties to your family members in Mexico and disown them. Its not an excuse, I guess it is hard to understand something you have never had to deal with.

Hell just follow this forum. In one breath conservatives want to claim we are all Americans as when it comes to the US flag, but let the subject of crime, welfare, unemployment, etc. come into play and they will quickly start breaking folks into groups.

I know it is about bringing a full size flag into the stands and blocking other folks view or using it to try and taunt someone else.

    You don't comprehend very well.
None here know all the circumstances that led to the decision. It's a sure bet race of the other team was involved.
But the school district and the other teams principal agreed with the decision, so I will go with that.

You don't think a symbol, like a flag, can be used to taunt others?
And HS sports should be, as I've stated at least 2X now and you seem to disagree, 1st and foremost about good sportsmanship.
Win and lose gracefully. Is that something RWers can't comprehend or is it just you?

You are trying to compare a world wide event, Olympics, to a local HS sporting event? Not even in the same topic of conversation.

But fox has been know to lie, so I won't run with that story. Not saying they finally got 1 story correct. But odds are against them.

Sorry you can indeed deported the parents but not the children and that had been done before.

Trump wish to change the constitution and or pack the courts in order to deported people who are in every sense American but for their parents coming here illegally before they was born.

Not quite, he from what I read did this specifically towards the American flag so as not to upset hispanic players on the other team. Had he done it as a general no flags or banners of any type bigger than ? x ? I'd have no problem. But that is not what he did from what I read.

Why does everyone keep calling this an Hispanic football team, is it an Hispanic high school? Are the students there all from Mexico? Is the other school a White high school?

I don't see anything in the description

Luckily sanity prevailed here, and this HS backed down on the anti American stance.

    http://heatst.com/culture-wars/high-school-un-bans-us-flag-at-football-games-after-backlash/

If the time comes where we have to worry about our National Flag offending some of our people, then quite frankly we have too many people that dont belong here. Glad the school heard the backlash loud and clear.

“Student safety (and in the case of a football game, safety of all attending) is our primary concern,” Lavely said. “It is the responsibility of the school to provide the safest environment possible, and no object, sign, chants by students, etc. would be permitted if they compromise safety.”

Beth Brotherton, assistant director of communications for Greenville County Schools, said while Travelers Rest doesn’t have a policy banning American flags for any game or event, “student safety and proper respect for the flag are evaluated as the issues arise and are addressed accordingly.”

RELATED: TR police chief disagrees with TR principal's flag decision

Berea High Principal Mike Noel issued a statement in support of Lavely.

"I am in full support of Mr. Lavely's actions at the football game on Friday night. He was protecting the greatest symbol of our nation, the American Flag. His decision was based on the premise that the American flag should not be used in a disrespectful or unsportsmanlike like manner. He made the right decision", Noel said in an email statement from the school district.

It seems the flag was going to be used to taunt and use the flag inappropriate with proper use of flag.

And I don't see where the Berea HS is mostly mexicans.

I'm reminded of a USA-Mexihole soccer game at the L.A. Coliseum back in 2003(ish).
When the mexihole anthem was played, the buzzard flags were flying all over the place (and throughout the game) and even a big one held up by several people in the crowd.
And the hispanics (both legally here and the illegal alien criminal) as well as the non-hispanics stood in respect.
The liberals called that pride in the nationality and heritage.

Later, when the U.S. National anthem was played, U.S. flags came out as well as a really big one in the crowd that had to be held up by a slew of people.
A large number of Hispanics talked, jeered, hissed and yelled during the Anthem and the big flag was pelted with empty (and some not so empty) beer cups and peach and mango pits.
The liberals called THAT just a "rivalry".

This reply wreaks of desperation because you have nothing of real merit to say.

Racism is about context? And who is the judge of context? Dems?

    Does that matter? Nope

    - - - Updated - - -

Of course racism is about context, lol. The US flag is not a racist symbol when using it to respect your country. It becomes a racist symbol when you use it against a race that you don't feel are real Americans. Use your confederate flags for that nonsense. Don't bring the US flag down to the level of your guys trash. It's disgusting.

No, no, and no again. America is not a race, it's a country. The flag is not a racist symbol and never will be. End. of. Story.

Of course it's not a race. And it shouldn't be a symbol of racism, but the dirty South is ruining everything like always. Use your confederate flags to show your racism. Of course these kids were bringing flags to this game for a racist agenda. What a disgrace to the flag.
