LOL, who made you master of nursing ethics? I say their community, not you, and not me, can decide to withhold treatment if it's futile or unreasonably dangerous. And they can all vote on it. To force them to endanger themselves against their best judgment is tyranny, not to mention armchair quarterbacking. Do they tell you how to do your job, if you have one?
I am a housekeeper for my parents. Both me and my parents are content with the arrangement. As a person with Disability, I find speculation about sacrificing people with Disability horrifying. Sadly many people would sacrifice those in need of help. It would be better to increase millionaires' and billionaires' taxes.
If there is no choice but to save some lives ... I do not know and do not want to speculate. Sacrificing ``non-productive" people in order to save millionaires and billionaires from 90% tax is truly inhumane.
Thank you. Sadly many people view ``non-productive" people as a burden. I am Moderately Autistic and proud of it.

I disagree on both counts. Politics deals with power and control, not society's problems. Studying forests is a common activity in a science known as ecology.
Common sense says all humans are important. Imagine psychological impact on society if we began culling the herd.
It is simpler than that. We were founded on the concept of equality. That means government must treat everyone equally. We do not want to lose that equality.
They are empty NOW. I wrote the OP when Gov. Cuomo was claiming this massive, impending shortage of hospitals. The question is ... oh forget it, I've explained it too many times.
Imagine the psychological impact on nurses if we admit 1000 ebola or covi patients to a hospital and they only have 300 beds.
No, we were founded on the concept of liberty before the law. we are talking about private hospitals in a pandemic with a shortage of beds. You're going to cram in everybody into a hospital where you don't even work, yelling "Equality for All!!!" and then retreat to your house.
This again? I am starting to suspect this isn't even true. You remind me a little of war veterans constantly telling war stories. Real vets don't talk about it.
Heh, better for you, sure. You realize, I hope that many disabled people are gainfully employable outside the home. Fewer today, of course, because of the crisis, but I've seen no evidence so far to indicate that you can't leave your parents' house and earn a living, or at least contribute a little something financially. You write reasonably well and seem coherent.

It can be, sure. But when someone starts comparing mere admissions policy in a pandemic with abortion, he betrays himself as unworthy of further reading. I won't be reading anything else you write, and so we'll never know whether I agree with you on anything else.
That's the consequence of your enthusiasm for "equality." What do you think is going to happen if you demand admission to a hospital that has run out of beds? I guess you could cram them into the chapel, the pharmacy, and the broom closets.
I'm sure you won't (don't want to) read what I post since it shows a blatant hypocrisy from some ….
