    I never said there was although women do have a right to defend their country ....or don't you agree?

    I was referring to their right to bodily autonomy, the right to have an abortion.

    First of all, SO WHAT if they were all "righties." And of course there was care about women involved! They were against reducing women to just "bodies with vaginas." What's the issue here? Do you agree with reducing women to that?

    Men AND women aren't fit, but an unfit man will, on average, make a better combat solider than an unfit woman.

    You did not qualify your recommendation as to how much prior to the draft the abortion occurs. The assumption was if the woman had had an abortion - no matter the reason - she would have to forcibly drafted into the army. As for the married woman - anything could have happened to the husband - and that is the point.

    Apparently Democrats are trying to open the door on a path that could lead to women being subject to the draft.

    Texas Republican Represenative Chip Roy urged his fellow GOP colleagues to vote no on the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) unless a provision that would open the draft to women is dissolved.

    Democrats inserted an amendment into the 2022 National Defense Authorization Act that would replace the term "male citizen" with "citizen" in the law.​

    I'm just saying we should extend equality to a selective group of people based on their individual choices.

    Is it "punishment"? Maybe, sort of. But if it is, isn't it also punishment against all people of the male gender?
    Seems to me making all men and some women eligible for it is more fair than making all men and no women eligible for it.

    There's clearly a push coming from the Left to increase the level of gender equality, so here's a compromise that would allow conservatives to give that to them.
