Can you quote the book chapter and verse from whence you are referring? Just asking now. Have you read the bible other than the Skeptics Annotated Bible. And based on my reading and what i see in the world,, i will take the oral and then written word of these God inspired men over one man, untested, proven a liar and less than 100 years old to date.

I think you should believe in whatever seems more logical/truthful to you. If that's the Bible, then good for you.

The views espoused by Victor Zammit are not just his own views. Spiritualism is anything BUT putting your faith in one person. If anything seems illogical to you, the best thing is to reject it and develop your own ideas. Knowing what everything is about isn't fundamental to living a good life.

I haven't dug enough into him, so I'll answer this from my perspective.

The buybull tells us stories about creation that we know to be false. The order of creation, for starters. We know to an indisputable fact that we are not all descended from a single couple, and that we've been walking the globe for orders of magnitude more than 6,000 years. We know to an indisputable fact that the flood spoken of never happened.

It's equally true that to believe in the buybull is to believe the Creator of All that Is is a cruel tyrant. On the one hand, the price of admission being mere belief sounds pretty easy, but the overwhelming majority of humanity does not, so hell is going to be a full place indeed.

It also requires you to completely reject as either fantasy or "tricks of demons" the tens of thousands of NDE experiences (and completely dismiss the overwhelming similarity of their stories). It also requires complete rejection of hundreds if not thousands of past and between life hypnotic regression sessions that are also, like their NDE cousins, remarkably similar. It also requires complete rejection of things like out of body experiences, remote viewing, and a number of other psychic phenomena that happen all over the world.

But if you can reject contemporary scientifically collected and analyzed evidence over fantasies and myths of people who thought food poisioning was real time punishment from gawd, be my guest.

I put my faith in God. The Bible is a guide and the word of God as written by men in ancient times in terms they could understand. That makes it imperfect. imo, but still to be respected.

and yet you will not post the book/chapter/verse for your claims in the bible.

Science has proven nothing of which you speak. If it has, post the link. I dispute your claim of tens of thousands of NDEs. Do you have a link for that one?

You can laugh all you wish. That's not going to change things as they happen to be.

    Biblical order of creation:
Day one: God creates heaven and earth, and light and dark.
Day two: God creates the firmament.
Day three: God creates land in the water, then plants.
Day four: God creates the sun and moon; then, as an afterthought, he creates the other stars.
Day five: God creates water animals, then birds.
Day six: God creates land animals, then Adam.

    Actual order of creation:
Attempting to match the biblical terms, first would be the firmament, if one can use that word to describe space time.
Next would be light, from the first generation of stars.
    Then would be the Sun.
    Then the Earth.
Then the water, likely delivered by comets.
The basic life, probably in the water.
Then more complex life, probably including land and water plants.
    Then basic animals.
    Then more complex animals.
    Then, eventually, homo sapiens.

So God got the very basics wrong.

And the flood, did you forget about the flood? Never happened. Not enough water, for one, no geological record, for two, and we have multiple human societies who lived at the time, like the ancient Egyptians and Greeks, who didn't notice, and didn't die.

A good place to start is www.nderf.org, once you are done there, there are others. In addition, you may want to look into the books of Michael Newton. (Not NDE related, past and in-between lives regressions.)

Yep, I certainly respect that view. Personally I believe there is spiritual inspiration, and the creators documented many of their own experiences, but I do not believe it hasn't been corrupted by man. Even the Bible states man has free will, and there's no reason to think that free will cannot and has not affected the very content of the Bible itself.
