Yeah ... Right On.That's all I tink about during the dog days of summer.
Is when that nice snow is about to fall.I mean,after fall is over.And of course
the best time of year ... Indian summer time.When woolly bear cross the
street like little old ladies and even Boy Scouts tend to pinch-in.I mean,not
on the butt.Because some Granny are like that Little Old lady from Pasadena
and we all knowed how much Grannies like snow.Like a pesky bunion on
ones big toe just after buying those new blue suede pumps.
Why can't folk settle for some nice sized hail in August.
While watching ... - The Teahouse of the August Moon - {1956} a delightful Marlon
Brando/Glen Ford comedy.

 

Yeah.....I have to watch out for good lookin women that know how to cook and bake.

I get it.Because there is a difference between Baking and Cooking.
Which explains why Martha Stewart { in the news today } went after popular
TV cook show host Rachel Ray. Pleading that she doesn't know how to bake.
Basically just open cans and slops together grub in a saucepan and Voila.
Todays female are like Mutant Ninja Turtles when it comes to around the
Kitch.

 

Rachel Ray overcomplicates food.
She adds about 10 different things when all that's needed is basic ingredients,salt,garlic, and pepper.

 

Nothing like having ALL the Goods.....Just sayin!

 

The point being that being a Baker takes much more discipline,and technical
expertise.Any schlub as we all know can slop together a dish { usually their version
of chili } or barbeque.But being a Baker requires long hours and precise measurements
and even more precise ability to get a finished product.
I would side with Martha Stewart on this.
Rachel Ray is doing little more than acting cutesy and tossing stuff into
a sauce pan.Cooking need be complicated.But fine cooking is an acquired
talent.One doesn't become a Julia Child over a weekend.In France it takes
years at Le Cordon Bleu,now International.Again ... cooking is not complicated,
But Fine cooking IS.

 

I agree that baking takes much more discipline.I wouldn't call what Rachel Ray does fine cooking.
In my Opinion,No,not Martha Stewart;Martha Stewart is good.
Oh yeah,Paula Deen adds a couple weird ingredients to everything like Rachel Ray does.
Julia Child is great!

Yep.....I'm going to buy a Car tomorrow. That's a big event for me. I hate handing somebody 3500 in cash. then a couple days later finding out I could have got a better deal someplace else.

Then I am going on a coffee date with this lil cutie. I figured since she was buying. I couldn't say no.

 

The best time to cut a deal on a car is the last few days in the month.
Car Dealerships work off a quota.Each month they have a goal to reach.
If they are behind then they have to sell some vehicles at a higher discount.
THE very best time to buy a new car at a dealership is the last week
in December.End of month and end of year.Dealers don't even wanna sell cars in
first week of January.Or January period.

 

Yeah I know.....I figured middle of the month would be good, plus the car I'm driving now.....told me to hurry he only has a couple weeks left. If that.

Daughter-in-law is a beauty, shy though. Sam loves the heck out of her so that is good enough for me.

It would be cool to have those guys crash the wedding--but, Mr. and Mrs. are country western folk.

 

Alright people of the strange brews. I finally did it. Still didn't like giving up a hand full of cash to another. But I managed to will my hand to let go of the cash.....and I bought my Car.
