I was surprised to find out that Frank Sinatra's favorite booze
was Jack Daniels.I thought for sure it would be some kind of Scotch.
    Italians like J & B scotch.Plus Vino,with meals.

Moonshine must be very good. Why else would it be illegal for us to make it in our bathtubs? ;-)

The table cheese we get at the Italian store here is an aged Fontina. Its not soft like the one you would get in a grocery store. Its more aged and is cut off a really big cheese wheel. Bigger than I could wrap my arms around. Its sharp but doesn't have a bite like a Romano type cheese.

I used to get that look every time I curdled the bearnaise sauce - have not done that for a long long time now. :)

I dunno about some folk.Galliano is the consistency of Motor oil.
Imagine what yer stomach must think when you pour it down.
Drinking Liquor doesn't have to be such a pain.
I don't know why so many folk have such a hard time understanding
    that.Booze can be your friend.
Unless I'm wrong it's been enjoyed throughout the ages.

All that talk about booze makes my head hurt. Reminds me when I tried some liquor made from plums or something.

Did we find the lost friend with PTSD yet? That is nothing to mess around with. I hope all is well.

He was a little Italian showoff.VERY Overated.
He'd be best off remaining in that stockade with another Italian
{ the Good Italian } Ernest Borgnine like in his Oscar winning
performance as Angelo in - From here to Eternity - { 1953 }.
Montgomery Clift deserved the Award ... clearly.
The Movie was great based almost entirely on his sterling
performance as henpecked bugler Robert E. Lee Pruitt.

As an actor he actually sucked.I go to Barnes & Noble for their
    huge LP selection.They have I'd say around 10 LP's of Sinatra's
albums. All different albums.I bet they move maybe 1 of those 10
in the next month.I'm not buyin' any.I have a couple Dean Martin
albums { older ones I cleaned up } and 3 Dino CDs.
I also have 3 Perry Como.I'm into certain type jazz.
I like Piano jazz the best. Not too much Miles Davis.
    He's overated also.

Once on vacation the bartender at the pool asked me if I wanted to try a West Indies Yellow Bird, I asked what was in it and he said Galliano and other stuff, it tasted like a fruit punch..very deceptive, till I stood up to walk...geez. Must have been why they called it a yellow bird, if you could fly you were ok just don't walk.

I am going to check out Fontina in the specialty cheese section at Publix. They just might have some of the aged Fontina cheese.

But it was so easy for Clift to play himself - no acting required. ;-)

I got the look when the anticipated bearnaise sauce turned into scrambled eggs. Have you ever made a bearnaise sauce?
The difference between the sauce and scrambled eggs can be a 2 second error - when you are whisking it up fast.
