    No small part of this is the fact the DNC decided to run the only person that could not beat Trump.

    I often wonder what the election would have looked like last year had anyone but that woman been the Democratic candidate. If it was Sanders, or O'Malley, or Webb, would Trump have won? Better question, would the Republicans have pressed for someone else? I voted for Rubio in the NH primary but I was torn between him and Kasich. I think Kasich would have beaten any of the ones I just mentioned, especially Bernie. I am pretty confident that any of them would have beaten Trump.

    The DNC is its own worse enemy. But that started the day they decide that Debbie Wasserman-Schultz should be the voice of the party. I think whoever made that decision was sniffing too much glue.

    I recall the polling last spring -- Sanders consistently polled significantly better against all the GOP candidates than Hillary.

    Democrats didn't want to win. For years they have refused to do anything about Republican gerrymandering of districts and they have known all along that this is what costs them votes and elections. They choose to play catch up ball and this never works in the world of polytricks.
