Can you point to a correlation between the size of protests and the increases in reported COVID cases?


The states that are spiking are not the states that had the most Floyd protestors.

They ARE the states that have been opposed to doing anything at all to fight the pandemic.

Also, there are FAR more people who go to grocery stores than go to protests. So, if people change their behavior at grocery stores it can be monumentally more impactful.

This post may never get old, but it doesn't make your case that Trump is responsible for all 130,000 dead. I'm sure it's hilarious in some other context however.

~ Trump started implementing U.S. travel restrictions from China & Europe in January. The ban took effect February 2. Of course Democrats - Joe Biden in particular - cried "racist !" and accused Trump of hysteria, xenophobia and fear-mongering.
Look to China for blame - not the U.S.

 

America has not and is not adequately defending itself against this pandemic that is killing people and crushing our ecoomy.

The issue is that Trump failed to make a serious attempt to defend those people's lives.

And, he is continuing to fail to defend the lives and wellbeing of Americans today.

With all the resources of the greatest country in the world, he made no serious attempt. In fact, he lobbies AGAINST the moves necessary to defend those continuing to die today.


You want to play stupid partisan numbers games? So, how many deaths is too many? How long is too long to do nothing? Why does America not deserve the defense that other countries are getting?

And, tell me how eliminating healthcare coverage for 23 million Americans in a time of pandemic plays into that.

Feb 24: White House requests 1.25 billion coronavirus funding from Congress.

Feb 26: VP Pence becomes head of coronavirus task force.

Feb 29: President Trump announces additional travel restrictions against Iran, South Korea, and parts of Italy.

Oddly, all this happened before March. Weird.

 

So by me wanting to know how things would have been different if a Democrat were President is partisanship but blaming Trump for killing 130,000 people isn't.

As far as your "numbers game" goes, I've been asking the same thing since this started and have not been able to get an answer. We've taken more severe measures for the coronavirus than we did for the Spanish Flu which killed 600,000 Americans. In today's numbers, that would be the equivalent of 2 million people. Yet we routinely change nothing every year with the flu, where the death toll can be between 30-60 thousand people. So what IS the number that makes sense to destroy the economy? It's clearly more than 60 thousand since you've never posted about the mass murder of previous flu seasons, but I don't know where your number is at.

NOTHING was done to counter the spread by Dirty Donnie and anyone in his administration.
Requesting funding on Feb 24 ? AFTER the epidemic had already landed and spread ?

For example, as late as March 15, there were only 2 labs in the entire US that could do testing for COVID19.

Alot of what you complain about is logistics issues, there weren't enough swabs, enough PPE and in this instance enough contact tracers(this is a 330 MILLION person country, how can we possibly contact trace that many people?)

Whether it was Biden, Obama or Jesus Christ himself, no one would have been able to salvage this situation. Does that mean to re-elect the President? Everyone's own personal choice, but I'm not going to sit here and blame the President for a logistics issue, when Obama wouldn't have been criticized if the same outside circumstances affected him.

There is no defense for what our government did wrt Spanish Flu. But, today we have tools that were not availablle then, and we've had decades of experience with wide spread contagious disease.

Trump is bailing on ANY attempt to reduce COVID.
