You sure can say "nope" a lot but you can't seem to engage with the argument. That's fine. It's a flag to let me know you're not really serious.

The state isn’t changing the rules for getting an ID. What are you talking about?

    Definition of racism

1: a belief that race is a fundamental determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race

2a: the systemic oppression of a racial group to the social, economic, and political advantage of another

And AA is still not racist.

AA is built around the assumption that skin color dictates ability. You guys are hilarious trying to thread that needle.

If poverty is the issue, why are Democrats making this about skin color then?

So you reject any claim that voter ID laws and other voting laws are racist, then?

If you were carrying a small bag with cocaine in your car, where do you think it's more likely that a cop might stop you and spot it? Would it be more likely if you were a black guy driving a 2001 Mustang in a poor neighborhood, or a white guy driving a 2021 Tesla around zip code 90210?

    You have proven systemic racism!

If you go to maps of criminal activity in most large cities, you will find that they tend to be concentrated in blacks areas. That is not referring to stopping people carrying cocaine or driving white Mustangs. It is robberies, break ins, burglaries and murders reported by the residents of those areas. As evidence, most blacks want the same law enforcement or more, not less.

Explain how that has a thing to do with systemic racism.

That's not what you claimed. You said that single parenthood had increase more among black people than among white people. I responded that in the last 30 years, single parenthood among white people had increased immensely more among white people.

Now you're running away from your own statement. It's irrelevant to this thread. But it is further proof of how you continuously make claims that you can't substantiate.

You make a claim, and then present a link that does not support that claim. This is the reason why forum rules state that links are meant to SUPPORT your point. Not to make your point for you.

Then again, who is more likely to be stopped, a black man driving a beater in a drug infested neighborhood or a white guy drving a fancy car in the same neighborhood?

But is still occurs much more often in black families regardless of the trend.

Your point is irrelevant. The highest rates are among blacks. That's the point. White single-parent households tend to be poorer as well. The rate in the black community is nearly twice that of the overall population.

And this graph seems to show that they increased at about the same pace, it's just that black households are far more often single-parent.

I agree with your conclusion that we should ask why poor people are poor. But I'm talking about crimes in general. Violent crimes are reported more in poor neighborhoods regardless of weather they are predominantly black or predominantly white. It may be because people are poor (or black). Or it may be because if somebody beats their wife in a mobile home park, it's more likely one of your neighbors will call the police, than if they beat their wife in a Beverly Hills mansion. I don't know.... but there is a systemic assumption that the former is true. And cops, judges, bureaucrats, mortgage lenders, .... the whole system... will always act according to that assumption.

    Maybe because they happen more.
