Wanna bet you can’t use the PF function to show I’ve assigned any guilt to anyone concerning poverty rates in California or any other state here in your thread?

Stating a FACT is not assigning guilt. Fallacy indeed!

That's not entirely accurate. Let’s break it down:

    1. Poverty Rate in California:
    2. Comparison with Other States:
      • When comparing California’s poverty rate to other states, it’s essential to consider the absolute number of people living in poverty.
      • California has a large population, so even with a lower poverty rate, the actual number of people in poverty is still significant.
      • For instance, California has more people in poverty than states with higher poverty rates, simply due to its sheer population size.
    3. Context Matters:
      • Poverty is a complex issue influenced by various factors, including cost of living, employment opportunities, and social safety nets.
      • California faces unique challenges, such as high housing costs and income inequality, which contribute to its poverty situation. High housing costs are due to supply and demand, investors buying up property because California is a desirable place and other factors, so, 'capitalism' to put it bluntly.
      • While the poverty rate is an essential metric, it doesn’t tell the whole story. Understanding the context behind poverty rates is crucial.
California’s higher population and specific economic conditions contribute to both its lower poverty rate and its significant number of people in poverty. We should consider both aspects when discussing poverty

The OP isn't about you, or anyone in particular, just some folks on the right, and left, who engage in the post hoc fallacy, the guilt by association fallacy.

Sorry. California has the highest poverty rate in the nation. Only DC has a higher poverty rate and it’s not a state (yet). You are using the measure that does not account for cost of living or social safety nets. The Supplemental Poverty Measure from the Census Bureau is the measure you should use if details matter to you.

Of course it isn’t about me. That’s why you ought not have made it about me telling me what to read. That’s fallacious.

I simply pointed out the examples you keep using in your posts are not accurate information. It seems there is definitely a need for some to believe California doesn’t have the highest poverty rate in the nation according to the Census Bureau. I wonder if it has anything to do with the post hoc fallacy, the 'guilt by association' fallacy?

While republicans are awful, results show that dems are worse. None of what you posted changes these results.

The point was “Republicans are ba’a’a’a’d.”. True. Dems are worse.

I would move the encampments away from city limits and away from access to drugs and alcohol. I would have sanitation, medical, mental services available and work programs for those capable.

So you'd force people into what are essentially prison camps?

    AND

You'd have to raise taxes to pay for this
    AND
This does nothing to increase the housing supply which is the core of the issue.

An accusation by a wacko who tried to defect to Russia and praised Putin on Russian TV versus 25 credible women who accused Trump of the very thing he brags about, not to mention was found liable for by a jury based on a preponderance of the evidence to the tune of $5 million?

Fairness is not your thing, apparently.

Nonsense. I've given to too many facts in the past which destroys your premise.

You cherry pick only those 'results' which comport to your biased narrative.

    Now bother someone else.

Very nice. The RED state people “Having warm fires outside their trailers and doing square dancing and having a blast.” And then lecture DEMS and Blue state who are “working their butts off” to take “personal responsibility” and “ don’t take government handout” .

May be the people in RED state get of their lazy a$$ and stope the square dancing and “ work their butts off” so we from Bleu state don’t have to send our hard earn money to red to state keep police department open.

Cost of living is cheap in Bangladesh too. But that doesn’t mean we all should move to Bangladesh.
