The Media Is Ignoring a Huge Hole in the 'Trump Cheated on His SATs' Allegation

Since the release of Mary Trump’s tell-all “memoir,” a whole slew of allegations has been repeated unquestionably by the media and on social media. One such allegation is that Trump paid a proxy to take the SAT exam for him, helping him earn admission into the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton Business School.

The media has reported widely on the allegation.

Mary Trump identified the proxy as Joe Shapiro in her book. “To hedge his bets he enlisted Joe Shapiro, a smart kid with a reputation for being a good test taker to take his SATs for him,” she explained in her book. “That was much easier to pull on in the days before photo IDs and computerized records. Donald, who never lacked for funds, paid his buddy well.”

The problem is the widow of Joe Shapiro, Pam Shriver, says it’s impossible.

This is but one of a few obvious reason why buying tell all books that heavily rely on second, third or even fourth hand allegations, will be a waste of moneym and full of lies.

Yes she is lying, has been called out by several people as a liar already.

 

It appears no one is taking Mary Trumps allegations seriously.

Bravo!

 

She may not be intentionally lying. She is telling the truth from her side. Truth is often fluid.

Edited to add: The media has other issues to address right now. Who cares if he cheated on his SATs over 50 years ago? He's got way bigger problems than that right now.

 

The problem with her allegation is that they are second hand, third hand claims, no evidence to support it.

The Widow Pam Shriver says it is impossible.

 

I understand that but believe there is a fundamental problem with how we lambaste people because they cannot prove (with independent evidence) that something happened. It's why child molesters get away so often. Nobody considers taking photos and recordings when they are a child/teen, especially if they are being victimized.

It doesn't make it untrue simply because Pam Shriver denies the allegations. We don't know her motives for wanting to say that. She may be telling the truth but she doesn't deserve any less scrutiny just because she disagrees (or wants to let sleeping dogs lie or whatever motivation) with the book's author.

 

It is clear you didn't watch the video or bother to pay attention to the dates, or show actual evidence, which she NEVER produced.

The allegation:

“My late husband Joe Shapiro passed away 21 years ago. He was a man of great integrity, honesty; he was a hard worker. He was literally the smartest person I ever met. He went to University of Pennsyvlania, member of the class of 1968. It was while he was at University of Pennsylvania where he met Donald Trump. They became friends; they loved the sport of golf. They shared the same hometown of New York City; they shared the same campus. They stayed in a little bit of touch through the years,” she explained. “But obviously Joe’s not here to defend himself and say what happened, but I just want to recollect what he told me about where he met Mr. Trump. And I want to thank all of Joe’s close friends and his sister Beth for our talks in the past 24 hours about what an upstanding, outstanding man Joe Shapiro was.”

Do you know what Mary Trumps response was to what the Widow stated.....?

It is clear Mary is slandering President Trump.

Meanwhile it doesn't seem to bother you when people writes these allegation filled books, but get contradicted by the people who were accused in them, or were there at the alleged events and actions.

 

I remember taking my SAT in the ‘70s. I still believe the abacus used to check my arithmetic answers was tampered with, but I will never forget one of the hypothetical questions asked.

 

My SATs said I was slightly below average in math and slightly above average in reading.

The only time they've ever mattered in the slightest was getting into the college which I only ever finished because I didn't want to have wasted all that money for nothing. So I have a bachelors degree. (In art).

I dgaf if Trump cheated on his SATs. They don't mean anything.

 

So she was not there but she does not want him to be seen as helping a cheat. Great confirmation...not!

Person, man, woman, TV, camera...yeah, Trump is a stable genius.

 

But wait, you are supossed to be outraged, and stuff like that! The bastard had TWO scoops of ice cream!

 

Something Trump supporters should already be conditioned to accept without question.

 

Cheating reveals his integrity and character. It reveals he has neither.

 

And here is something that supports her claim that he cheated: everything we know about him since then. It would be totally in character for him to have cheated.

Not what I’m doing. I responded to someone who said he didn’t gaf if trump cheated because it doesn’t mean anything.
That’s wrong. Cheating does mean something. It shows a lack of character and integrity.
Wouldn’t you agree?

Meanwhile we have the entire book to chronicle uncle don’s deplorable character and actions, which is number 1 on the bestseller list, by the way.
People know Mary is the more honest trump in the family.
And if the orange dotard is fixated on her book rather than dealing with the country’s problems, it just adds fuel to the fire.

I didn't vote for character. I voted for 2A preservation and America First. And Im not dissapointed.

I'll be voting on that basis in 2020 as well, (and all future elections). Character and integrity are great, but they're no substitute for policy.
