In a parliamentary system where coalitions are formed.

    Do we have that?

But it DOESN'T "equalize"...it heavily slants power to less populated states

It helps to guaranty that liberty.

Preventing "The Tyranny of the Majority"

People often refer to the United States as a democracy, but technically speaking, that’s not true. It’s a republic.

Big deal, you say? If you care about your rights, it is. The Founding Fathers knew their history well, so they knew better than to establish the U.S. as a democracy.

In a democracy, of course, the majority rules. That’s all well and good for the majority, but what about the minority? Don’t they have rights that deserve respect?

Of course they do. Which is why a democracy won’t cut it. As the saying goes, a democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what’s for dinner.

The Founders were determined to forestall the inherent dangers of what James Madison called “the tyranny of the majority.” So they constructed something more lasting: a republic. Something with checks and balances. A system of government carefully balanced to safeguard the rights of both the majority and the minority..........

    Article Four
    Section 4
The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.

I am not sure how it's not a level playing field....the rules have been the same since the founding of the US Govt. What you are essentailly saying is that the left can not win, at least not anymore, in our Constitutional Republic....that's very telling

Eact STATE is equal under the Constitution. STATES elect the President and VP NOT the People. The Constitution does not even stipulate you get to vote for you state's Electors, your state legislature could select them. Civics 101.

Elector represent states, of which DC is not constitutionally able to become. Read the document that you ignore so often. I have a solution, actually, move everyone out of the district. Only allow commuters in, and the problem is solved immediately by making the residents of DC residents of actual states. No more confusion. Ever.

That is where they live and you live where you live.

You have representation. They do not

Because the US Constitution requires a Federal District for the Federal Govt. It is certainly their choice to live there....they could live in MD, or across the river in VA....or, gasp....try and amend the US Constitution.

The founders wanted a Federal District for a reason though

Factual argument, if having a Senator or Representative who can vote in floor votes in Congress is SO important then move a few blocks into Maryland or Virginia. I choose to live in a state, I have lived in several states. I choose not to live in DC.

Yup. As it is, the urban shitholes are not entitled to a bigger slice of the pie, no matter how much of a hissy fit they throw. And I might add that had the Benghazi Bitch been forced on us, we'd here nothing BUT high praises for the EC from the Left. ****ing hypocrites!

Hateful? What is so hateful about not pandering to groups of people just because of skin color, gender, or whatever sexual lifestyle they lead, etc. etc. What is hateful is everything coming from the Treasonous Left. this is why you and your party are the enemy.
