Let us dial back the rhetoric for a moment, and return to the matter you were originally addressing, which included pictures of individuals holding up signs calling for justice for Michael Brown. Pray tell exactly what part of justice for someone, involves massive civil disruption, destruction of private and public property, and committing violence against those who had no involvement in the incident to begin with? Does justice necessitate burning down the stores and livelihoods of those who played no part in what transpired? Does justice require the use of molotov cocktails, and refusing to speak up about identifying who may have committed a random murder, out of fear of reprisals for doing the right thing? Then pray tell why are you not actually making use of said degree, in order to go about exacting actual change to the system?
If you have a degree in Law, ask for a refund, You have been cheated ! Your idea of Criminals and Criminal behavior and your opinion of our Juris prudence indicates a distinct lack of comprehension.. All such cases are fully investigated and evidence is gathered, you are simply and wrongly calling those aquitted of a crime, criminals, and this is libel. An allegation is not the same as a conviction, something anyone that takes basic law courses would know.
Man o' man if I saw this many Arabs or Negroes armed with guns I would just start shooting. I always have at least 32 rounds on my person in the form of 45ACP and 12 gauge slugs and shot.
Funny how the Nazis said the same thing about Jews: "The Jew is pictured in the manner of a typical Nazi caricature with a huge nose, thick lips, bleary eyes and fat fingers'' http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/propaganda-and-children-during-the-hitler-years
why, some of the people I must trust to cover my ass if the SHTF are black guys. several of whom I have taught how to shoot. as Robert K Brown (Col. ret, USA-founder of soldier of fortune magazine) "any man can make a good soldier if properly trained and motivated"
I served this country 24 years. I continue to serve this country by paying millions in taxes and coaching American youth, one of whom was on the last Olympic team and others who have won world championships while representing the USA-how about you?
I probably coached longer than you and served as treasury agent while continuing to work as community volunteer despite having serious health issues in my old age.
I doubt you were chosen as Olympic coach of the year. I doubt you put people on world and olympic teams. treasury agent-guys like you worked for me.
the fact that you have chosen to get personal rather than deal with issues is a concession that you have lost the argument thanks for your concession
what did I lose? the anti gun movement is not only dishonest, its losing. and when we get more Trump judges, hopefully being anti gun will be seen as being an enemy of our constitution
Personally, I find it offensive that, in a nation where, ostensibly, "All men are created equal", there are people who are treated as less than others. Police brutality and racism - of whatever color - are wrong. Well, I'm a political independent, with some views that would be classified as "left" and some that would be considered "right"... but I know racism when I see it. As mentioned elsewhere, I hold any and all racist groups in moral equivalence, and the Black Panthers/BLM movement is nothing but the Ku Klux Klan in reverse. Worse, I look at the pictures and I see a bunch of untrained people brandishing weapons they don't know the first thing about and are holding as props to push an agenda... and that will get the wrong people killed.
Departments settle civil suits more often than not because it's cheaper than to fight and win in court. The storm of controversy around the Brown case makes it not worth it to the department to fight it. However, the evidence and the reality of the scenario is that Michael Brown committed a crime and then assaulted a police officer who stopped him. He fought the officer, and when the officer realized he was in legitimate danger he fired his weapon to save his own life. Michael Brown died as a street thug and societal predator; not as a martyr to the cause of racial justice.
The 2d Amendment is there to protect everyone. As a wise one once stated, when people fear the government there is tyranny - when government fear the people there is liberty. The problem today is that there is too much government tyranny in the form of jack booted criminal police thugs who are terrorizing the populace. The solution is to apply the 2d Amendment as shown by the patriotic heroes in those photos.
In all fairness, the majority if not all of those present in the pictures are observing the safety rule of keeping their fingers off of the triggers, thus greatly reducing the potential for a negligent discharge to occur.
While I don't overtly condemn anyone for their race or culture, my radar is always up around minorities or foreign cultures. I do racial profiling. It works.
I don't see any signs of Nixon or Trump fearing the people. Nixon didn't and Trump doesn't either. So these two are indicative of big problems for democratic republics like our own as these two grease the slippery slope towards tyranny.
