I agree, I've noticed they are more honest about it, and I think I know why...I've seen black people complain about "crackers", and the white devil holding them down in front of white people, and the white people just act like they don't hear them...and I've seen black people kick the crap out of a white person because they THOUGHT the white person said something racist. Sure, there are exceptions to the rule, but I choose to believe my "lying eyes". I'll never forget the video on youtube where some mexican dude tried to have a rational discussion about the george zimmerman trial, and he said "Zimmerman had a right to defend himself", and 3 black dudes kick the snot out of him. Let's face it - black trash resorts to violence at the drop of a hat, just like white trash, but I've noticed a white person is far less likely to jump somebody over the word cracker, than a black person over that other word. Maybe it is because of slavery, but regardless, at some point people have to let go of the past and move on. However the boyish picture the main streem media choise to use of Trayvon was him at 12 yrs old, then he had school records covered up for criminal acts even when the incdent happend he was out on suppension for what should have landed him in jail. they also found drug paraphernalia, burglary tool and lots of unexplained jewerly in his bag! then all the social media he put out there in photos and text self proclaiming him self to be a violent thug! Then there is Zimmermann who worked sometimes up to three jobs, did community work, and even protested the mistreatment of a black suspect while doing a ride along! his two violent incidences before the Trayvon shooting incidence, both in 2005 one he shoved an undercover alcohol - control agent for grabbing his under age drinking friend, second was his ex-fiancee filed a restraining order on him and he filed one on her right back seemed like run of the mill domestic squable and that was his violent past before Trayvon!
Just to let you know as a white guy I've always concidered Bieber a punk, thug, and all around troubled boy from the start. On the other hand I was for Serman after I saw the push to his face mask, but when he started crying foul so loudly I stepped away and gave it not one more thought until now!
I look at it like this. The original N-word was based on skin color and a person had no choice in the matter. Thug however is a label that is brought on by choice through a persons actions. You would never hear a person like Morgan Freeman called a thug but a few racist people may call him the N-word. So...if the shoe fits wear it.
I was intending to go through all 52 pages of this thread because I find it interesting to see what makes people invent a new way to claim a word or phrase to be racist. Then on about page 16 it hit me when a thread about a sports figure being called a thug gets to 52 pages, there are those that as I put it eariler have racist brain the see racism everywhere, lurking behind every street corner, on every roof top, and in every gutter of America! If we look for things to seperate us ( the use of the word thug) we will be divided and week, but if we look for things to bring us together( the love of the sport ) we stand untied and strong!
