Hopefully it doesn't get shot down
I wonder why all the States did that to begin with?

Hopefully all the squatters move to the red states where they tolerate that foolishness[

It would just literally kill you to admit that the governor of Florida did something right wouldn't it?

You people in blue States deserve the things that your politicians do and hopefully all of the squatters go and move there

you must have issues reading, the left supports this, I support this, it should be removed from all States, the Red and Blue ones

it seems it would just literally kill you to admit we agree on something

Hopefully Florida is just the beginning of these laws getting shot down

Before you go and accuse someone of having reading difficulties you should probably go back and read your first reply to me where you said the laws are the same in red States.

The law is not the same in Florida. Words have meanings and definitions and those words matter and they're pretty clear when you say something like you said

before you accuse someone of things, maybe it's you that should go back and re-read my posts

Squatter laws are similar in all States (Red and Blue), Florida is trying to address is, as I said, I support that

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Squatting_in_the_United_States

"According to a Florida based lawyer, "we haven't seen this kind of level of squatters since the Great Depression".[28] In the San Francisco Bay Area, local NBC News reported that people were even squatting on their own foreclosed properties.[29] Michael Feroli, chief economist at JPMorgan Chase, has commented on the boon to the economy of "squatter rent" or the extra income made available for spending by people not fulfilling their mortgage repayments.[30]" 2007-2009

You specifically said the laws ARE the same in red states . That is not the case in Florida.

It's too late for you to try to move the goal post because you said what you said and if you need me to I can go back to that post and bring it up to remind you

both red and blue States have squatter laws, this is true, you tried to pretend it was only blue States

it's too late for you to move the goal post now, give it up

it's killing you that we agree on this one isn't it? You're searching so hard for something for us to disagree with on this

One down, ten million more to go.

Illegal migrant who went TikTok viral urging others to squat in people's homes arrested by ICE

The Venezuelan illegal immigrant influencer who went viral with his TikTok videos urging other migrants to squat in people’s homes has been arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials, Fox News has learned.

Leonel Moreno was arrested by ICE’s Detroit field office and is now in federal custody, an ICE official told Fox News. He was caught by the agency’s fugitive ops team in Columbus, Ohio.

Moreno had illegally entered the U.S. in April 2022, ICE confirmed to Fox News Digital Thursday. He was placed into the Alternatives to Detention (ATD) program by Border Patrol, but had absconded from the program after failing to report to an ICE office within 60 days of arriving at his destination.

I agree, but I wonder what they were intended to prevent or fix. I’m sure there was some problem they thought they were solving, or you wouldn’t see those laws everywhere

The Post "forgot" to mention that the Tik Tokker in question has been arrested.

No. Squatters rights apply only to unoccupied properties.

She was not trying to evict squatters, she was trying to illegally evict squatters. That's why she got arrested.

She wasn't going through the legal eviction process.

Which doesn't mean the homeowner has no recourse, the squatter is a tenant at sufferance subject to eviction. Simply follow the legal process.

Cutting off utilities etc is about the worst thing you could do in this situation.

They're a tenant at sufferance, just go through the ****ing eviction process.

I didn't say anything about cutting off utilities because I already know that's illegal.

When I said to be creative what I meant was you have to be creative to do things that make their life very uncomfortable but that is not illegal.
