Your link claims that the person trying to gain entrance to the room in which she was hiding (with others) was actually a member of the Capitol Police and that she feared the Police as much as she did the insurrectionists. Quite possible. While the majority of the Capitol Police did their job and fought those trying to break-in, there are videos of a few helping the insurrectionists. She was probably first evacuated from the Capitol to the Cannon Office Building. But, the evacuees had no knowledge of who was a friend and who was a foe.

As for Cruz remark...let's wait for the investigation results. I suspect she was exaggerating. But, on the other hand...well...the break-in occurred right after his motion failed, right?

A major problem: AOC wasn’t even in the Capitol building where all the action was going down. If she was in her office, she was in the Cannon Building which is nearby, but a different building.

According to Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC), who has an office in the same hall as AOC, two doors away, there were never any rioters in their hall so there was never any physical danger from rioters coming in at any point. AOC is a deranged liar, who tells fibs, slandered the mythical officer she created in her lies, and then she claimed that Ted Cruz tried to kill her.

Nonsense. She was in the Capitol when the House adjourned and the building was evacuated. She went back to her office at the Cannon House building, which had already been evacuated by Capitol Police. Some members chose NOT to evacuate and barricaded themselves in their offices. Entirely possible a Capitol policeman was checking offices leading her to fleeing to Porter's office. While the majority of Capitol police did their duty, apparently some did not and may have actually helped the insurrectionists. How was she able to know who was who?

The Brown Shirts had helped build the Party, but it was largely a group of misfits. Hitler was becoming increasingly "main-stream" and accomplished a coalition with the German Conservative Party. The combination gave Hitler the majority and the Chacellorship, but caused unrest with the misfits who had supported him during the earlier Party years. He had to make a choice...remain in power or give in to the "people who had brought him to the dance." He chose power and during the "Night of the Long Knifes" murdered the Brown Shirt leadership and destroyed his former base.
