    No.

I put the list of expenses at the beginning of this thread.

Trump is paying lawyers to keep the court from getting his tax return, among other things.

Obama did the same thing with $10 million, what's your point?

    Courts already ruled on that.

The courts shut down his family charitable foundation, because he was using it to pay off personal obligations.

The issue today is that he is doing the same thing with other organizations that are certified to take tax free donations.

I don't actually agree with this.

It IS a crime. Those dollars were exempted from taxes on the grounds that the funds would be used in a particular manner which was certified to be of enough benefit to forgive the taxes. When you donate pretax dollars to such an organization (such as American Cancer, or whatever) and they use it for personal purposes of the CEO, that is a FEDERAL crime as it is the misappropriation of federal tax dollars.

If we stop calling this a crime, then where the HECK does that lead?

I agree we won't be able to prosecute Trump for this crime - Trump will be able to run out the clock and there will be reasons for not prosecuting after he is out of office. For one thing there are a good number of cases against him already - cases for which the executive branch will be unable to pardon him.

    BUT, it IS a crime.

In the Florida case that cause the courts to terminate his family charitable foundation he was using the money to pay off obligations he acquired at his Mar-a-lago estate. He also purchased items with charitable foundation funds that were then used for private purposes.

You can easily find this case.

My bet is that our DoJ will choose to ignore it.

That doesn't mean it isn't a crime. It just means that Barr's interpretation of his office is that of being the personal protector of the president, NOT being the Attorney General of the USA - two very different job descriptions.

So...where was the charge and conviction? Oh there wasn't.

Meanwhile I thought thread was about the campaign? Can you please show us the crimes...I looked at the link in the OP to the FEC webiste......I didn't see any personal obligations being paid

Ignore what? you haven't shown us anything...why is the FEC ignoring it? The FEC is made up of a group of bipartisan folks.

If you want to discuss here, you DO have an obligation to pay attention to the OP and the cite required for the thread to exist.

I stated another case of a similar crime committed by Trump in support of the argument that this is not the first time that Trump has committed crimes such as the ones the OP indicates he has most probably committed.

Do I really have to explain EVERYTHING to you?

If you cared about this at ALL wouldn't you ask your google a few simple questions?

So, given that can you figure out at least ONE easy way Trump has at his disposal for ensuring that the FEC can not take action to defend our elections REGARDLESS of what members discover?

I can't figure out a single way the President can ensure the FEC, over the past five years can't take action....how can he? Why can't the FEC make some sort of ruling?

I am also still waiting on you to show me where he has done what you claim here....

By not nominating anyone to be on it. It can't function at the moment because the Tangerine Turd has done just exactly that and they cannot form a quorum.

He just got someone on it in May

The staff is still there...the folks are still working....even if there are some vacant spots on the top. It's only not had a quorem since July...these alleged acts go back to 2015.

Your argument is weak...it's like saying, well we don't have a Chief of Police, therefore the cops can't arrest and investigate.

I'm sure Biden's DOJ will look into it.

If Biden wins, I have no doubt that he will follow the policies of the Admin he worked in...and we will see a big return to leftist polciies like weaponizing the DOJ against political rivals
