Trump's military put into perspective

You don't pay attention when you speak do you?

Did you notice how everything you said was related to you and your experience? Stop doing that, take a step back and look at everyone else. I understand there are people who have their own experiences but that means nothing to the whole. I'm trying to get you to understand your bubble does not apply to the rest of the population

 

It's all about the will to fix it.
17 years ago I joined a foundation in my retirement community. We took on the education of a small dirt poor mining town a few miles away. We provided pre school and food to the students and some tutoring as they went thru school.
Most of the parents simply couldn't spend time with them because they worked multiple jobs and weren't well educated themselves.
Long story short, the progress is stunning both in graduation rate and college admissions.
A plus. It's tax deductible.

 

Let me put in terms you may understand.

A battalion is considered a good unit or bad unit based on the collection of companies.

So if there are 8 companies in the battalion and 6 are bad, and 2 are good, the soldiers in the good company may think they have the best battalion. The few do not equate the whole... Take a step back major and take a look at society as a whole. There are millions of Americans crying out for help for a reason

 

Trump supporters would call that becoming dependent on the state and is communism. Everyone must have a hard life and not be given any breaks in the mind of a trump supporter

 

I have no idea what you are ranting about now. My experiences are relatively unique and in no way do they apply to the rest of the population.

 

I'm asking you to stop saying trump is doing great based on your own bubble. Pay attention the what the majority are saying. That is what leaders do right, major?

Is there actually a point? Society as a whole in my red land is doing OK. Some people better off than others. None are starving and none are losing their home. Are there people starving or losing their home elsewhere. Yes. Is there anything I can do about it. Not much. We have been generous with some of our relatives and friends. That is about the best we can do.

What you are suggesting is that being in the military makes someone less prone to understanding the military and a civilian will know more. That is not something you can explain logically

The military is doing very well. They are more concerned with their ability to do their job than they are with what Trump does or not does not say. Do they like Trump? Probably not. I don't like Trump. I don't have to like him to appreciate what he is doing.
Leaders pay attention to what the majority is saying. That does not mean they will necessarily react in a way which the majority approves.

 

And where did I say any of that?

 

Service members are quite concerned with what he says, also the military is not doing well. Again I ask that you look at polls and real data. The leaders of the military are vouching for trump to be out of office so tell me again how trump is loved by the military?

 

You said that your bubble is doing just fine but there is not much you can do to help others? Its called elections and involvement in the community and philanthropy, there is many things you can do. I would assume one would choose not to see what they can do so they don't have to do anything and just turn a blind eye.

 

Remember that famous quote "ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country"? Yea that is no longer an ambition of the population

 

Reread what I said. I never said Trump was loved by the military. In fact, I said "Do they like Trump? Probably not. I don't like Trump". However, the ones I know appreciate what he is doing because they appreciate having equipment which actually works.

By the way, there are no "the leaders". There hundreds of thousands of leader, all with varying opinions.

 

I will vote and will continue helping out people. Realistically there is not much more I can do. What are you doing for your fellow man?

 

the leaders are the ones in the pentagon that send down orders and mission statements. Those are the ones I’m talking about and it’s because they are aware of the downfalls first hand that trump has created for the military.

 

well I employee about 70 workers across 3 states. I am on the leadership council for small business association to advocate to members of Congress to pass legislation that helps small businesses grow and obtain capabilities to hire more citizens. I am active member of society and contribute to programs that offer essential workplace knowledge for a few weeks to get individuals ready for a career.

 

Do you think they do not appreciate their state of readiness compared to what it was four years ago?
