To me, it makes little difference. We know that it happened in a Taliban controlled area, and we know the Taliban promote the killing of infidels and those who don't follow Shira law to the T with beheadings, shootings, abductions and torture.

Those responsible were raised in an environment where these things are permissible. That is where morality is derived. From the environment one is exposed to.

I think you're first problem is that you're equating the Taliban to groups like al Qaeda et al. Once you realize that they are very different I think you may be able to overcome some of your ignorance regarding them.
