As much as any teacher which is pretty solid. You have to truly **** up big time to be fired. Teachers are in high demand. Good ones that is. My wife taught for 10+ yrs before taking off and having kids, then moving into administration. She’s seen it all and it is VERY hard to be fired. I was amazed how so many are still employed pulling the **** they do, because they wouldn’t last 2 seconds in the private sector which I’m familiar with. Boggles my mind the attitude some of them pull day in day out.

 

You've got it backwards. It's the market dictating to the producer, not the producer dictating to the market. If little girls were as interested in video games as boys, there'd be a shitload more video games catering to little girls. But they're not, and the market understands that reality, and funds projects accordingly.

 

I'm not a teacher. I'm wrap around care, and I substitute teach. So more babysitting. I'm trying to be a teacher though. Want to teach math. And seeing how many are quitting for better jobs in the private sector? Doesn't really surprise me teachers are able to get those jobs. Would love to hear from your wife though on her thoughts on teaching.

 

Yeah, what you're talking about is reproduction. Which is then produced by the marketing team, which excludes female gamers. That's why the whole "diversity in video games" argument is so mired in sexism and racism. Video game companies are finally realizing there is a huge untapped market, leading to video games being marketed towards girls. But boys can't handle that so we end up with stuff like Gamergate.

I can't lecture on a topic, if I don't know how much you already know. I can't for example, talk about the concept of cell replication if you don't know what a cell is. Or that some cells have a nucleus. So I can't lecture on why you are wrong, because I genuinely don't know how much biology you know. If you knew anything about biology my High School biology knowledge should be easy to overcome. But you haven't overcome it. So I have to wonder how much biology do you actually know in the first place?

Judging by your post you have not been able to overcome the difficulties of grasping basic biology.

You see in biology they teach it there are male and female mammals as well as other forms of life..... But let me know not digress and get lost in the weeds here.

Biology also teaches us that it is the female which gestates and has the female reproductive system such as ovaries and eggs and a uterus and a vagina.

The male reproductive system consists of a penis and testicles. It is the male which contributes sperm in the reproductive process into the female which begins the process of pregnancy.

There has never been a pregnant male on Earth and there never will be.

A female has never had intercourse with another female and inseminated her. And there never will be

See what biology teaches is that species exist within a complex web of life. And when it comes to gendering animals? It's kinda dumb and fill with human centric biases that don't necessarily match our own understanding. I mean, we gender single cell organisms, say bees have queens, wolves are "alphas", and conveniently forget all the gay animals in the world like penguins, cats, and humans. This is a serious problem for animal behaviorists because they can't just simply look at the action of an animal and think "this is clearly what a male or female would do". Animal psychology is so different from ours, we have to use very different metrics, like thinking of things from a caloric point of view. For example, why should we say female spiders exist when in humans, women are "weaker" but female spiders are often stronger than their 'male' counterpart? It doesn't make sense when we notice these differences and try to account for them. If anything, studying biology helps to prove the existence of all sorts of different genders throughout the different kingdoms.

I'm not sure we're going to get answers to those kinds of questions. I'm still waiting to read if it's okay for heterosexual teachers to talk about their sexual orientation and/or sex life with students outside of curriculum hours.

I would think if the issue is "grooming" or the other non-sensical things that some people think is running rampant in all the schools in the country, ALL of it should be off-limits. If it's not, this has nothing to do with the "safety" of the children at all.

 

If someone could find an example of a heterosexual teacher doing the same thing then possibly we could go from there.

But for some reason most heterosexual people don't feel the need to tell the world they're heterosexual and make sure everybody knows it too!
