~ We may be testing unnecessarily. It could very well prove to be redundant .
    · From CDC / FDA :
For COVID-19, data to date suggest that 80% of infections are mild or asymptomatic, 15% are severe infection, requiring oxygen and 5% are critical infections, requiring ventilation.
There are few reports of laboratory-confirmed cases who are truly asymptomatic, and to date, there has been no documented asymptomatic transmission.

The idea that one is immune to the virus if filled with righteous outraged doesn't seem to be panning out.

UNEXPECTEDLY: Houston Protesters Begin to Fall Ill With Coronavirus After Marching for George Floyd.

Large protests began in the city days after the death of Houston native Floyd, an unarmed black man who died while police custody in Minneapolis, Minnesota on May 25. Texas has been experiencing a surge of new COVID-19 cases. Harris County, which encompasses Houston, has been adding hundreds of new cases each day to the more than 17,000 total confirmed cases reported as of Monday.

Houston resident Shamone Turner told KRIV that she took part in a march to Houston City Hall attended by an estimated 60,000 people about two weeks ago and later tested positive for the virus. Several friends who accompanied her were also said to have tested positive.

"I actually got sick the day after the march... I could not move out of the bed. I was in the bed just sighing," Turner said.

Houston police reported an uptick in cases after the protests began, with at least 23 officers testing positive since June 6, according to The Houston Chronicle.

Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner on Monday urged people who had gathered closely in public to get tested for the virus, including those who attended the protests.

Not sure the sick protesters and looters can be trusted to remain quarantined. The dont seem to like laws much.

Uh huh. Coronavirus not deadly enough. China's going to start "stacking" viral pandemics.

If I were our European friends, I'd be careful about having opened the border back to the Chinese, the US numbers are actually accurate. The CCP propagandists? Not so much.

My reading of the headline is that NJ and NY may pause their reopening explicitly because the conservatives states have ****ed up, not because cases are spiking in NY and NJ.

The closest I could find to this quote comes from a March 6th article from the World Health Organization...

The protests clearly had their impact. Contrary to that one study, the only thing that study showed is that people logically feared for their lives and stayed sheltered from the mayhem since it appears our local/state governments are unwilling or unable to follow the law(although in Seattle, the process to take their city back from the kids has just begun.)

Those who stayed sheltered, naturally should be excluded from the group of individuals who rioted, sorry I mean "protested".

Cuomo is not going to Phase 3 restaurant reopening as planned even though they have their numbers very low. He said people are not complying with distancing or quarantine and police departments are not following up with quarantine compliance. Of course, they are also cutting the police budget by $1 Billion to make BLM happy, while they haven't enough contact tracers and enforcers.

NYC also just found almost 700 new dead bodies from Covid yesterday. Apparently they died elsewhere in the state over 3 weeks ago and they just now "counted" them as NYC residents. Not sure they know how to do math up there. Either 626 or 692 new deaths for NYC. Data lag.

Of course NY Times is going to blame conservative states, not the state of New York. Cuomo said during today's press briefing that citizens are not behaving right, the virus is spreading, and the police aren't enforcing the quarantines issued to people identified through case tracking. He did also mention that they couldn't prevent some people from the 16 states where positive test rates are higher than their threshold from going to NYC. On other words, he can't tell people what to do. If he does, then police are not enforcing "the program", and his travel bans (14 day quarantines) on people from 16 outside states are also ineffective.

Basketball is close contact. Players should be in hazmat suits ! :disbelief:

Once they discovered we flattened the curve too quickly to suit their political needs.

That was never the goal. The goal was to flatten the curve, so as not to overwhelm resources.
