Millions of citizens in the US have been disarmed by severe gun control laws. Are you unaware of that *fact*?

By law you can not carry your hand gun in most of the most dangerous Killing Zones in America. Surely you know that.

 

How is that “taking away your guns”? Again, you still have your guns, right???

What are you talking about? Are you talking about schools? If so, people in majority of schools have NEVER been able to carry. So the govt isn’t taking any gun right away. Can’t take away was never was.

 

What mandate? I have a license to carry. So does my brother, he actually does carry. So what are you going on about?

 

Schools are Killing Zones unless there are several armed teachers, guards or volunteers inside the schools. Surely that is obvious to anyone by now.

 

But no one has taken any rights away. Again, you can’t take away what never was. So we’re back to square one. No one is taking your guns away.

 

Are you pretending not to know that in most American cities it is almost impossible to get a carry permit?

 

I got one in Boston which is in MA which has some of the toughest gun laws.

IOW, you admit that most law abiding residents of Boston cannot carry a gun legally. IOW, they have been disarmed by law.

No sensible person would go out onto the streets of most of our cities without carrying a gun if there was any practical way to do so - legally. The fundamental right to effective self defense has been taken from them by strict gun control laws.
Gun control laws that have no influence on criminals.

How long did it take you to get your Boston permit. What are the requirements?

 

I just told you I got one. So how is that “admitting most can’t carry legally”? I don’t go around asking people if they carry a gun. So I don’t know how many carry...and neither do you.
Even though I have a carry permit I don’t carry. I would walk from the subway station to my place at 1:00 in the morning when I lived in Southie, which was about a 10 minute walk. Didn’t even cross my mind to carry. I guess I’m just not scared.
I think it took about 4 weeks. I had to take a safety class and then a shooting test. Easiest test on the planet. You’d have to be blind not to pass it.

So, any law abiding citizen in Boston can fill out a form and get a concealed carry permit for self defense in 4 weeks - no sweat?

Do you know approximately how many adults live in the Boston area?
Do you have any idea how many are permitted to carry concealed?

 

I have walked just about everywhere in NYC...never needed a gun.

Safe enough for me not to be scared to walk home at 1:00 in the morning. Does Boston have its crime? Of course. Sure does. But it’s not a freakin war zones. Haha
I can’t speak to anyone else getting a permit. I can only speak to what I went through.

Why would I know how many are permitted to carry? That isn’t something I have any interest in knowing. Majority of Americans have zero interest in carrying. Majority of Americans aren’t scared.

 

You have been walking unarmed and helpless in those Killing Zones - you really have no choice unless you are very rich or connected. Millions of law abiding citizens who walk the streets of NYC/Chicago/Detroit/St Louis/... would choose to carry a gun - legally - if they could.

I even coach at a high school and actually don’t fear for my life when I walk into that “killing zone”

 

Then what was your justification for applying for a CCW permit?

 

Exactly what am I supposed to have "made up"? That most of NYC is a Killing Zone for helpless unarmed citizens?

That is just an obvious fact.

 

When you are unarmed and defenseless luck is all you have.
