If you believe at all in the Constitution, you know the right to assemble, pandemic or not, is a guarantee which has been infringed upon by these orders. Let’s face it, these governors are dictator wannabes. My governor just extended his order into June. The freedom of religion is also promised in the Constitution. Combine the two, and we have the Constitutional right to large gatherings in a religious establishment. This too, is being infringed upon.

This is why we protest. And you don’t have to be a right winger to support it either.

Fauci has spread fear among the masses. Such emotional hyperbole is the only reason to support staying locked down. We know the solution. Open back up and let nature take its course. The people who can see past such a national fear campaign are the ones who protest. Masks don’t do much to keep us from getting infected—the meat packer casualties are evidence of that. So it’s redundant to walk into any grocery store or gas station with a mask.

Governors have only gotten away with this scheme because our own fears have allowed them to. The need to rise above and disavow such authoritarian behavior is enough reason to join the protests.

I can can't believe it we agree on something. I honestly can't believe how many people have fallen lock step and in line with the orders of the government.

I support the protests. Morally. Other than that, Im too busy working.

Though given the chat I get from those others who I meet who are also busy working, they would be up for a protest too if they werent busy working.

Personally, I could use some time off...

If we had confirmed cases of Ebola in this country, would those who were infected have the Constitutional right right to assemble with whomever they wished? I don't expect an answer. It is a hypothetical question that demonstrates the fallacy of the OP.

We need to get over Fauci Derangement Syndrome and start coming to terms with biological reality.

You are either arguing that any and all quarantines are illegal or you are making **** up.

You wouldn’t quarantine the healthy and force them to close their businesses and stay home

Social distancing isn't quarantine and you (as predicted) ran away from the question. Can you actually answer the question or not? (Kidding, everyone knows you can't)

No they wouldn’t, and again that’s not what happen here with covid. Instead we forced people out of work and quarantined the healthy. A far cry from simple social distancing like you are claiming. Public land was closed, the healthy was prohibited from going to the beach, nature trails, rivers, etc people were told what they could and couldn’t buy. People were arrested for throwing a ball with their kid in a park. People were told they could not go to their home in the country. Shall I go on or have you heard enough.

Technically, yes. You can still assemble. Just a different virus. There's your answer.

Biological reality is letting nature take its course, and open the country back up.

    OMG so much drama!

Be a man and deal with it. Stop the whining. Nature will run its course and this will eventually end. But the horror of a runaway virus is not something anyone could tolerate.

LOL, the irony. Drama you say? :roflol:

And double LOL at someone who is quaking in their boots terrified of COVID, telling someone else to "be a man" because they want to return to work and liberty and living.

    It's like backwards world.

Speaking of freedom - I think that these two police officers should have the freedom to sue the man-child who is yelling
and spitting in these officer's faces. Don't you?

As the old saying goes," Your freedom ends where my nose begins ..."

Guess you've got some disinfectant to inject yourself with.

80,000 dead isn't enough for you?

    100,000 next week.

If the new cases curve doesn't go down soon, there'll be 200,000 deaths by September.

I’m not a right winger, I just know how to think for myself. I’m sure the death toll will be gnarly, but again, nature will take its course.

Honestly, I don’t think the police should have even been there. These people need to be able to scream at their governor in person.

    Dems would be ecstatic!
But I'm glad you agree that the lockdown hasn't really done much.

This may be the first time in history that people who would normally be busy working have the time on their hands to go 'a protestin', rattle their windows and shake down their walls like Bob Dylan sang to do.

What you call lockdown would have been called a prank in countries like Canada.

I invite you to see their results.

Freedom isn't free. Many people have died for you to have it. Don't give it up so easily.

Then stay home, stay safe, and stop whining about those of us working to make that a possibility for you.

I don't know, according to the statistics out of New York, staying home may be the most dangerous thing to do.
