Sloppy victim.......perspective. Really, are people this fragile? I am siting here getting groovy after cooking most of the day over a glass of wine and football (With some great food.... Okay, several glasses of wine and really great food and friends) and all I read is "Victim"?

What keeps you wanting to be alive? Again I ask, is this a bait thread? Life is passing, enjoy it. Sorry Wolverine for butting in.

Well because someone says something about some countries prime minister, all men are bad, and are not oppressed in anyway.

When the general rule is that women pay the life time of alimony, and women are the ones to fight to see their kids once a week, I will be more willing to listen.

What keeps you wanting to read here? Go back to your wine. It's OK. Stay groovy.

You don't need to subject yourself to reading anything here yet you do.

Your wine is waiting, off you go.

Show me in print this "official" recognition or designation, not your
interpretation of something else as meaning what you choose to say it means.

Be sure it says "physically / meantally challenged".

You never will, same as you will never admit you made it up.

You are acting like women are the only sex discriminated against, men are the only group to hire friends, its just very silly.

Take off the victim hat and see that people are on both sides of the aisle suffer injustices from everyone else.

I had a boss tell me once that he was going to punch me in the face. I wonder how many women are told they're going to be punched in the face by their boss or other co-workers?

Ah ignorance, the last bastion of a position that cannot withstand scrutiny.

The Affirmative Action Plan documents the College’s goals and strategies for the recruitment and retention of well-qualified members of affected groups as staff and faculty, specifically women, Blacks, Hispanics, Asian/Pacific Islanders, Native Americans, Vietnam Era veterans, disabled veterans and people with disabilities (the affected groups), where they are under-represented in our workforce. The plan does not establish quotas of any kind or timelines for the achievement of goals, but identifies the levels of diversity present in labor markets relevant to College recruitment and establishes those levels as goals the College aspires to in its employment of administrators, staff and faculty. The Affirmative Action Plan also outlines program activities and strategies the College utilize to retain its diverse employees.

My natural role as a homemaker and mother. Thanks to govt's never-ending tax increases and interference in the market place, and femi's who wanted women to work - diluting the work force, I have to work whether I want to or not. Most people can't make it on one income.

I am sorry for what happened to your friend and the little girl.

I do think tho, that it is hardly an appropriate response to then say that all feminists are alike. Surely you know its not so? You can be kind of hard headed about seeing where you made a mistake, so rather than press you, it may be best to let you work this thru for yourself.

As a feminist, Im as appalled by such behaviour as you.
I've no interest in special privileges, I already live a privileged life. Nothing I did, i just got lucky.

I do want equal rights, and as far as I am concerned, I have them.
There may be a law here or a custom there that needs attention, but
nothing that concerns me. Laws, customs and social norms are all different things. Rap music isnt illegal but is sure is misogyn.

I guess it takes feminists to stand up agaisnt that, if the men wont.

There are times when men will behave in ways that reflect an unfortunate attitude toward women. Ive experienced a very extreme form of that.
i still sometimes say "I dont like men". My boyfriend would know what I meant, i shouldnt say it to anyone who'd take it wrong.

Feminist to me means, among other things, that you dont mess with me, thinking that as a woman Im going to just take it.

It sure doesnt mean im trying to take anything from anyone or get a special deal.

AA debases everyone involved in it, and it lowers the quality of those in the positions. i dont see how they could have any self respect, or expect people not to know they got it by unfair means.

The entire Women's Rights section comprises of men who come to whine here about women -- yet out of all those hundreds and hundreds of threads whining about women -- you choose this one to target. Why is that? What compels you to care to tell me you're drinking wine and you're groovy? They're arguing elsewhere and complaining and whining about all kinds of things on this forum -- yet here you are -- to tell me how happy you are. Go spread the joy on all the other threads on this forum --- God knows that would lighten them up, right?

The 'victim' analogy came from you and Wolverine. I have NOT used the word. It was used on me.

I bring up the prevalence of rape and called a 'victim' for that.

What I call it is dismissing the concerns of women all over who are concerned with the CRIME of rape.

I highlight rape -- am called a victim for highlighting rape.

Goes to show the level of concern men have for the plight of women who are raped.

Go back to your wine. Be Groovy. What the heck do I care. That you need to come here to say such things I find a waste of time. Because you could have just continued being groovy having fun. But had to interrupt your happiness to 'complain' here. Sure makes a lot of sense, right?

    *shrugs

When women are the ones fighting for the right to see their kid once a week, or the ones who typically pay alimony for life to an ex, I will be more interested in feminist concerns.

You want equality? Good for you. We are on the same page. However we will drive on any issue where we differ on equal treatment of two people of opposite sex. Equality is equality. Giving one side more rights than the other is appalling.

You highlighted your concerns. I highlighted mine.

Take off the arrogance hat and bother to imagine that others don't share your view / don't see things as you do.

Maybe you hang out in the wrong section....

Grab some wine, friends and good food and live. You do realize that you started a feminism thread? Now it is rape? How am I to react with this? You tell me....

If you're a feminist, when in doubt, use the rape card

    Reminds me of this joke:

What would happen if you were to change a tire for a feminist?

You would be accused of tire rape because a tire has a hole in its middle and you had to put your hand in it when you were changing it and a tire can't consent

This joke highlights feminists incredibly fast and loose definition of rape. For example, according to some feminists all sex is rape, even consensual sex between a married couple

You do realize this is not a ground and pound situation? Choose words that have meaning.

I do not know this person, let alone you. I do know life is lived best living knowing who cares....with good wine and friends.

If you saw the world how others do, I doubt you would be wearing the victim hat.

I am not going to get into this with you. The rape, the feminism, the anything.

I am taking your advice, Toefoot. But only because I was about to do it anyway, but I will give you some kudos for your suggestion.

The good champagne comes out of the fridge, the music and the comfiest sofa on earth that is mine. After the racket in this place I'll be happy to settle down to some music and champagne just on my own. That peace and serenity. Or maybe ramp it up for the punk music I so love.

Tomorrow lunch with friends in one of the best cities in the world -- Sydney. Lunch near Harbour Bridge close to Lavender Bay. Then off to an afternoon shift then home for rest.

We're all human here with lives and all the rest. Maybe it's a good sign that I'm bored with this place. So I'll spend less time here. I wouldn't in a fit associate with certain people here in my real life so why do it here I ask myself... and then the answer comes back, "You don't have to do it here, either."

Thanks Toefoot. I'll toast you. *clink*

I love it. A feminist asks, "What has feminism taken from you," then people answer the question, and a feminist who doesn't like men criticizes the people for answering the question asked by the feminist in the OP

You can't win. Either way, it's an excuse to hate men.
