I took a feminism course in university because I thought it would be an easy A. Just before my first class, I thought I made a big mistake: I'm a straight male and my prof would probably be a militant lesbian who would give me an F no matter how good I was. It turned out that my prof was really cool and helped me more than any other prof did (I had exam anxiety issues). She later said that she'd give me a job reference. I don't know many feminists who are militant about it. Making women stronger doesn't entail making men weaker. It's mostly about equality.

"All men are rapists and that's all they are"
— Marilyn French, Authoress; (later, advisoress to Al Gore's Presidential Campaign.)

"I believe that women have a capacity for understanding and compassion which man structurally does not have, does not have it because he cannot have it. He's just incapable of it."
— Barbara Jordan; Former Congresswoman

"Men are rapists, batterers, plunderers, killers; these same men are religious prophets, poets, heroes, figures of romance, adventure, accomplishment, figures ennobled by tragedy and defeat. Men have claimed the earth, called it 'Her'. Men ruin Her. Men have airplanes, guns, bombs, poisonous gases, weapons so perverse and deadly that they defy any authentically human imagination."
— Andrea Dworkin, "Pornography: Men Possessing Women"

"As long as some men use physical force to subjugate females, all men need not. The knowledge that some men do suffices to threaten all women. He can beat or kill the woman he claims to love; he can rape women...he can sexually molest his daughters... THE VAST MAJORITY OF MEN IN THE WORLD DO ONE OR MORE OF THE ABOVE."
— Marilyn French

"I feel that 'man-hating' is an honorable and viable political act, that the oppressed have a right to class-hatred against the class that is oppressing them."
— Robin Morgan, "Ms. Magazine" Editor

"Under patriarchy, every woman's son is her potential betrayer and also the inevitable rapist or exploiter of another woman."
— Andrea Dworkin

"All sex, even consensual sex between a married couple, is an act of violence perpetrated against a woman."
— Catherine MacKinnon

"And if the professional rapist is to be separated from the average dominant heterosexual (male), it may be mainly a quantitative difference."
— Susan Griffin, "Rape: The All-American Crime"

In a speech in Banff, Canada, Andrea Dworkin exhorted her audience to "stop men who beat women", "Get them jailed or get them killed. ... When the law fails us, we cannot fail each other."

"Men, as a group, tend to be abusive, either verbally, sexually or emotionally. There are always the exceptions, but they are few and far between (I am married to one of them). There are different levels of violence and abuse and individual men buy into this system by varying degrees. But the male power structure always remains intact."
— Message on FEMISA, responding to a request for arguments that men are unnecessary for a child to grow into mature adulthood

"Women have their faults. Men have only two: everything they say, and everything they do."
— graffiti frequently found on university campuses with active feminist movements

From 'A feminist Dictionary', edited by Kramarae and Triechler, Pandora Press, 1985:

MALE:...represents a variant of or deviation from the category of female. The first males were mutants...the male sex represents a degeneration and deformity of the female.

MAN:...an obsolete life form... an ordinary creature who needs to be watched...a contradictory baby-man...

TESTOSTERONE POISONING: ... 'Until now it has been though that the level of testosterone in men is normal simply because they have it. But if you consider how abnormal their behavior is, then you are led to the hypothesis that almost all men are suffering from "testosterone poisoning."

"I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn't lived that life."
-Sonia Sotomayor Supreme Court Justice

"It's mostly about Equality"
-Pardy a guy who took a Women's Studies course because, "it was easy"

A group of Men's Rights activists had an event held at the University of Toronto to discuss issues that primarily affect men. However, there were tons of feminist protesters that showed up and blocked the hallway leading to the meeting. Eventually one of them pulled a fire alarm, which shut down the event and ended up wasting the fire departments time. The video below is what happened afterwards outside the building.

I really wish I could post the video of several hundred, if not several thousand, feminists sexually assaulting a group of men protecting a church, but there is nudity and sexual content in the video. I don't know how anyone could argue that feminism is not a supremacist hate movement after watching that video, but if anyone could do it, it would be a feminist

What gives you that imression? I went to a feminist dominated University. I've dated feminists. My mother is a feminist.

I've had several girlfriends. I have two sisters. I've worked with women. I went to school with women. I've had female professors.

As humanitarean, as an egalitarean, I want the best for everyone, including women, and feminism is not in women's best interests.

Feminism makes people worse, just as Nazism made the German citizens who became Nazis worse. Feminism, just like Nazism, is not in anyone's best interests.

Then you should know that most feminists don't behave like the mentally ill woman in that video... a video we've all seen, by the way.

I was referring to a somewhat obvious disrespect for females...which in my experience is generally the result of limited experience with these amazing creatures...hopefully there will come time that you manage to experience this blissful joy. Until then, allow me to express my personal appreciation for the experiences.

Feminist actions are a direct result of the ways women have been treated for several hundred years in this country...deal with it.

From the Journal of Aggression, Conflict and Peace Research

“This drop in IPV against females and steady rate of violence against males raises an interesting policy question. There are many thousands of support programs, web sites and public-interest media items for female victims of domestic violence (DV), and virtually no programs and only a handful of web sites in the USA for male victims. Perhaps these programs and public education efforts have resulted in males, but not females, getting the message that DV is wrong.”
“…those that are the core of the DV service system: DV agencies, DV hotlines, and the police. On the one hand, about 25% of men who sought help from DV hotlines were connected with resources that were helpful. On the other hand, nearly 67% of men reported that these DV agencies and hotline were not at all helpful. Many reported being turned away. The qualitative accounts in our research tell a story of male helpseekers who are often doubted, ridiculed, and given false information.”

In 41.5 percent of the cases where men called the police, the police asked if he wanted his partner arrested; in 21 percent the police refused to arrest the partner, and in 38.7 percent the police said there was nothing they could do and left

Could you please spare us further exposure to your absurd
'ad hom" nonsense?
http://plover.net/~bonds/adhominem.html
THE AD HOMINEM FALLACY FALLACY
One of the most widely misused terms on the Net is "ad hominem". It is most often introduced into a discussion by certain delicate types, delicate of personality and mind, whenever their opponents resort to a bit of sarcasm. As soon as the suspicion of an insult appears, they summon the angels of ad hominem to smite down their foes, before ascending to argument heaven in a blaze of sanctimonious glory. They may not have much up top, but by God, they don't need it when they've got ad hominem on their side. It's the secret weapon that delivers them from any argument unscathed.

In reality, ad hominem is unrelated to sarcasm or personal abuse. Argumentum ad hominem is the logical fallacy of attempting to undermine a speaker's argument by attacking the speaker instead of addressing the argument. The mere presence of a personal attack does not indicate ad hominem: the attack must be used for the purpose of undermining the argument, or otherwise the logical fallacy isn't there. It is not a logical fallacy to attack someone; the fallacy comes from assuming that a personal attack is also necessarily an attack on that person's arguments.

Therefore, if you can't demonstrate that your opponent is trying to counter your argument by attacking you, you can't demonstrate that he is resorting to ad hominem. If your opponent's sarcasm is not an attempt to counter your argument, but merely an attempt to insult you (or amuse the bystanders), then it is not part of an ad hominem argument.

Actual instances of argumentum ad hominem are relatively rare. Ironically, the fallacy is most often committed by those who accuse their opponents of ad hominem, since they try to dismiss the opposition not by engaging with their arguments, but by claiming that they resort to personal attacks. Those who are quick to squeal "ad hominem" are often guilty of several other logical fallacies, including one of the worst of all: the fallacious belief that introducing an impressive-sounding Latin term somehow gives one the decisive edge in an argument.

Feminism as an idealology has been instrumental in legalizing abortion, passing and enforcing domestic violence laws ( and expanding them ) and in giving us affirmative action.

Before you leap to conclusions I stated they were instrumental I did not state that they were exclusively responsible for those three things.

In addition I am not anti abortion per say nor am I trying to de-rail the thread and turn it into an abortion or affirmative action / race argument.

These are in fact changes which impact everyone in society and which feminism has helped to create. Feminisim may also be partly ( not exclusively ) responsible for the rise of political correctness and hate speech codes and hate crime laws etc.

I am sure many might view these as positive changes others do not and the evidence is not strong that they were beneficial changes.

They have all in fact impacted in negative fashion the lives of millions. Yes to include me.

Now that I have answered perhaps you can state who is trying to bring feminisim under male control. I have never read any such post or thread or sentiment. Criticism of feminism is not attempting to control it.

So you believe Feminists don't resort to ad hominen attacks because they don't have any scientific proof to support their arguments???

Examples of Gwendoline's Abbusive Quotes:
Most victims are women. Are you being a twit on purpose?

Yes, of course, women go round raping men every day, right?

I am amazed at your level of ignorance.

89% of the males who were victims of assault in the Australian Bureau of Statistics Survey were assaulted by males. Not women. You nit.
Meanwhile, twits appear to claim the majority of perpetrators of domestic violence are women against men.
and meanwhile, ning-nongs without CREDIBLE sources dribble about
The men on the march this morning had calibre and character, a far cry from some of the twits on this forum.

So, do you believe the hundreds, possibly thousands, of women who sexually assaulted those men protecting their church in the video I can't post are mentally ill as well???

Since feminism has taken over society has gotten worse...would an attention whore like miley cyrus get any attention if it wasnt for feminists calling her "empowered ""?

I'd like to know besides women getting equality what has feminism contributed to society? Btw I do believe men and women equal..I dont believe women are superior to men or vice versa...

Someone calls someone a name, and therefore you are not playing ad hom fallacy fallacy?

Did you read where it points out that an insult, or, betimes, a true description is not an ad hom?

How about if you just quit trying to find ad homs everywhere,at least try to find some other fallacy that isnt there? A bit of variety, dont you know.

Feminism has taken love away from me and I'll tell you how and why.

A woman's love is not the same as a man's love. A woman's love is based upon her admiration for her man. Her admiration is based upon many of his qualities, but the most important qualities of a man in a woman's eyes would be his ability to protect her and provide for her.

A feminist is not allowed to have a man provide for her.
Which means that a feminist cannot have a man protect her.
Which means that a feminist cannot admire a man.
Which means that a feminist cannot love a man.

This is why feminists have such poor marriage and relationship outcomes and such low reproductive rates. Their ideology categorically prevents them from forming the natural kind of love for a man that a woman would normally form. Unable to form this kind of love, she can't effectively marry and share in parental duties (or really, any kind of duties) with her mate.

Feminism didn't just take love away from me, it took it away from women as well.

Feminism took away my older children. When I subscribed to the ideology---I was first priority. My children was second. Very much regret the horribly destructive values I had then.
