No one doubted her talent in her early days. But come on. She tossed it away and did the drug thing. It's said that even her DAUGHTER is a drug user and went to the hospital earlier than day before her mother's death. Would it make you feel better if we pretended she choked on a chicken bone?

 

I wonder how many famous people have died at that hotel? Seems like there's been a bunch. Maybe RP could post a few thousand links for us?

I don't live in NJ and really don't care one way or the other but flying the flag at half staff. Whatever that means anymore. Might as well fly it at half staff all the time cause someone somewhere is dying every minute. And we sure as hell don't want to harm anyone's self esteem. After all. EVERYONE is a winner.

I'm sure some of us come off as racist if someone is pre-disposed to take the remarks that way. What we're actually doing is being open about our thinking on the matter. I don't have a problem recognizing Ms Houston's talent. And i do recognize the tragedy that was her life. And I grieve that she never realized that potential. I can't help but think that perhaps she was quite ready to go and maybe helped it along a little with the drinking for those two days. I hope that she is my christian sister and is enfolded at peace in the arms of Jesus.
