Why do white ppl kill themselves so much?

I was wondering why white ppl are the most likely to commit suicide. What is it in the genetic make up that makes white ppl want to terminate their life more often than any other ppl? The following list of suicidal nations is almost exclusively white nations. What's going on my ppl?!?

they're also rich. you'll notice that PRC , south korea and japan are alse rather high up on that list.

 

Rich? Are you saying greed leads to higher suicide? The asian statistics are said to require more information to be deemed accurate. As of now we will leave them out of this.

 

Greed =/= wealth. I find that quite obvious, but maybe that's just me. Anyways, your thesis fails at conception since the list you yourself provided disproves it. The factor is not race, but something else.

I don't know, I'm no psychologist. But I think it is tied to the societies in question being rich, yes countries with majority white people are rich. Perhaps a psychologist will come along and explain it better.

Oh, and by the way somalia isn't a white country as far as I know and it's rather red.

I see you don't even understand your own OP. You do realize that China is the most populous nation on earth don't you? They have one of the highest suicide rates which would put them at the top of "most". Guess what, they aren't white.

 

White males generally have the most to lose when things go wrong.

I don't know how anyone could kill themselves so much. Last I heard, you can only kill yourself once.

 

Op could be clearer, but I've seen worse OPs here so I'll bite. And OP did say the Asian figures were in dispute.

IMO the facts probably lie somewhere between what Liberalminority(white males have the most to loose) and Mr. Swedish Guy(the factor may not be race) said. European countries have higher expectations to succeed and often higher ridicule for failure. And a greater disparity between expectations and reality. Countries with little wealth and power don't have populations who expect to get any wealth or power and then feel like life failures when they don't.

The can also explain the Asian figures. I think the factor is social pressure/expectation for success, not "whiteness", but "white" counties often have some of the most judgmental and racist sub populations too. The major flaw in OP is assuming all the suicides in so called white countries are white people. The UK, US, Australia, Canada and many other European countries have significant "minority" populations.

But in spite of OP's flaws, this is an interesting observation. The question should be why are suicide rates higher for prosperous countries who have a hyper self-concept of success, many of whom are European.
