I don't understand the need to be such an isolated country and oppose globalism with such fervor. Isn't nationalism the cause of most overreach in the world? The second Iraq war, a huge blunder, was the result of nationalism and ignoring allies and facts.

The UN is one of the crowning achievements of society. What do you think gets better by diminishing It?

I doubt you understand what your buzz words actually mean. Also, I don't think you understand the difference between what isolation is, vs what Trump is actually working towards. But I get it, you're scarred. You fear that the thing you don't understand is being changed.

He has unilaterally increased tariffs with the whole world.
He has expressed interest in withdrawing US troops from around the world.
He has left many many diplomatic posts unfilled.
He shows disdain for the UN, NATO, and G-7.
He is anti immigration on all levels.
He wants to build a big wall along our southern border.

What more would he have to do to become an isolationist in your mind?

My question was what would he have to do differently to be considered an isolationist? Not wanting it to be so doesn't make it not so.

I am seriously asking this. I am curious how you can think he isn't.

Nationalism is very good. Globaloney is very bad. I hate globalism.

Get the UN out of the US, and the US out of the UN.

There will always be war and world wars, that is not going to change.

It is in the nature of man, the greatest predator on earth, and especially in leaders.

I think we should hold our seat in the UN and the Security Council but withdraw in general from world affairs, armed forces returning home, the wall, a strong immigration zero-tolerance policy on illegal immigrants and put America first. And why should we protect the EU they can take care of themselves and Japan maybe its time they go nuclear to counter China and stop defending them as could South Korea. I suggest we take care of ourselves first and not police the world anymore its not needed.

Opposing globalism is like saying you oppose gravity. The world order America built is an unstoppable destiny that will not be thwarted in any meaningful way. America has spent 70 years building a world of liberal democracy and free trade. All Trump and his minions will accomplish is to isolate America from a world of own its creation. The new world order, which is no longer new, is a irrepressible force for good, human rights, democracy, and shared prosperity in the world. We built it at tremendous sacrifice, now an arrogant fool wants to destroy it. It won't happen.

Even NK, which we have historically led in negotiations with, we have withdrawn in most areas. Trump would love to pull the troops and have nothing to do with the Peninsula.
He wants to get out of Syria and Africa.

I don't see any area that he really wants to engage in diplomacy. Maybe the Israel Palestine issue, but that appears to be more of a campaign promise to BiBi.

Trade alone doesn't remove the isolationist tag. And I am not convinced he really enjoys free international trade.

Let me see if I can draw you a picture that makes clear what an isolationist country looks like: We would not get involved in the affairs of other countries, we would not give foreign aid to other countries, we would not respond to natural disasters around the world. etc.
