Why would China use a spy balloon when it has satellites?

Once it hit US airspace they knew and for the same reason we didn't tell the Soviet Union about Powers' flight China said nothing hoping the balloon flying over the US would not be discovered. Only after it was reported seen over Montana which is a very far distance from the initial entrance into US airspace at the western tip of the Aleutian Islands did the Chinese claim the balloon.

No, I just learned while in the Army how the military wants me to think. You never had the benefit of that life-long training. However they want me to think, most likely the opposite is where the truth lies. Pity.

    Bottom line:
    1) Go answer your own questions that post. Among post 795.
    2) They still have not found any spy equipment as far as I know. It's been at least 2 weeks since they found the first debris.

Bottom line, no pics of these claimed spy cameras on the claimed spy balloon. If it was in fact a spy balloon, they would have shown something. "trust us" doesn't cut it anymore. The US government is a lying sack of manure.

No spy equipment? What possible purpose could a balloon as big as three busses and having limited mobility and guidance system have? Of course, the most transparent administration in US history would tell all of us what they found in great detail. That's how they roll.

Yeah. I'm there too. This is like having a dejavu about Colin Powell at the UN showing some vial with a white substance saying Iraq is fabricating antrax with mobile labs. It was a total hoax. And after 2 weeks of fishing up debris the US got nothing to show.

It could just be that China was telling the truth, just like Saddam Hussein was telling the truth that there were no WMD's in his country.

Yes, and Santa is planning on moving his work day to July 4th and trading his sled for a Harley.

What if the Chinese told us that the balloons were now armed with WMD's that are designed to detonate if shot at?

Then shoot them down at 40,000 feet over water?

Yeah well. You can't put your trust on what the US intel tells the public, with their lies about Iraq.
