And that text does not affirm or deny a state's right to exclude homosexual couples from marriage. Hence why the the court said Section two has not been challenged here. That means the court did not rule either way on that section because the case was not relevant to that section of the law.

There are limits to how a state can define marriage. Can states prevent interracial marriage? No. Does your page 2 1st paragraph change that? No. And it doesn't say anything about gays either, not affirming the right to exclude gays or denying it. The issue was not addressed at all by the court.

Here's another picture of what is happening in CA that is sanctioned by local governments, the state of CA, and the federal government of the United States.

^^^That's reality. Deal with it Silhouette :)

The one on the right looks like a man. Why is the other lesbian attracted to "him"?

That and a million other questions this subculture demands with tantrums that society dare not ask...

The other lesbian finds her attractive. I'm not lesbian so I don't know why, and it doesn't matter because attraction is subjective to the individual.

Is this your attempt to change the topic? We've finally moved on from saying prop 8 is legal to criticizing the way gays and lesbians look?

People concerned about hidden mental issues are asking "why". And it does matter. If a woman says she's attracted to other women, why other women who look, dress, walk and talk like men? These lesbians so attracted have closet hetero issues. I think they should "come out" and go for real men instead. If you can cross one way, why not the other? All the signs are there...

I'm sure she would be attracted to women who fit the stereotypical social mold of what a woman should be too. But attraction is emotional too. Maybe lesbians just aren't as superficial in who they fall in love with as you seem to be.

Here's another picture of what is happening in California. I even picked a more "feminine" couple just for you.

Who cares about how you think they look? They're still getting married. So again, deal with it :)

California does not engage in voter suppression. The only voter suppression I see going on right now is in Texas, Mississippi, Virginia and other states that immediately introduced voter suppression laws in the wake of SCOTUS gutting the Civil Rights Act.

And you clearly have closeted homo issues. Are we through with the invective and name-calling yet?

I agree with Stagnant on this one,

The reality is that same sex couples are getting married in several states and over the next couple years, yes 2 or 3 more and more states will join this movement, within 10 years it will be the law of the land and be legal in every state, public opinion is not on your side, more and more people see same sex marriage as OK, kids raised by same sex couples do well and are in a loving family.

You are on the wrong side of history on this one, with an argument that will not win.

Marriage is a right for everyone. New Jersey will most likely get it once it goes through our extremely slow court system, Pennsylvania, New Mexico, Hawaii and Nevada might get it through the courts, Nevada, Oregon and Ohio are likely to put it on the ballot in 2014, and the legislatures of Colorado and Illinois seem likely to pass it as well (in 2014, not 2013.)
Also, I'm gay and I assure you I am neither feminine nor attracted to men who act feminine.

It scares me a little bit. I would hope and pray that it it doesn't happen to another state. California's voters voted against "gay marriage" and I do not feel like the Supreme Court had the right to impose its own will on them.
