I don't have all the pertinent info, just like everyone else, but i think it is possible that this is what happened. I think Martin realized he was being followed, zimmerman did not identify or have time to identify himself and martin attacked him before the thought zimmerman was going to jump him. A terrible misunderstanding. A terrible tragedy.
