One thing about Raquel, the people that knew her would often relate how down to earth she was, she really did not see herself as all that, relating often that beauty is really only skin deep.

It’s fashion dictates....like the stupid 5” heels women wear.
We now wear tight leggings...and they are so comfortable and if men get turned on, that’s their problem

I usually stick to 3inch max, higher just wrecks your feet, besides I walk around with my kids a lot and trying to keep up in extremely high heels around kids are just ridiculous, reason why I favour platforms, gives you height but doesn't feel so high for your feet. Only problem is if you twist your ankle you come down hard, and yes I've had to be picked up once by a very nice man when I crashed in front of his feet in the parking lot. (I was checking him out so I was distracted )

You were under the right impression. Big boobs/cleavage on display are associated with the lower socio-economic orders, and low self-esteem. IOW, trash.

It seems you associate trashy attire and heavy makeup with 'beauty'. Well that's okay, there is room in the world for fetishists. As long as they're not hurting anyone :)

Women have as much and no more right to be glamorous than men do to be handsome.

Oh gosh no. I enjoy natural beauty with minor touches of makeup. As to attire, class has it over trashy.

So still dependent upon makeup, then? (bold mine). That is technically a fetish. When you rely upon inanimate and inorganic 'accessories' in order to register sexuality, you have a fetish.

Many years and probably tears ago, Ms. Welch was truly magnificent. If she is today, it is due to paint or surgery not natural.

And back then she did not appear to be loaded down with makeup. She had a natural beauty. Today she must be in her 70's. Checked and she is 77. She is 2 years younger than me.

I think it is cool to hand a woman her age a good compliment.

I am working on not judging women by the clothes they don't wear, on the Internet; and, porting it to real life whenever I have the presence of mind to do so.

Neither am I. But fear not, requiring artifice to respond just means you're not able to register the natural female (were she bald, dressed in a potato sack, and wore no makeup), as female. It's no biggy. Besides, we have enough men in the world who are over-responsive to the slightest hint of femininity. We could use more 'uncertain' men like yourself.

Back on topic. What do you have against the now aged Raquel Welch?

what do you mean? Is it a prerequisite for being in the thread? If you're referring to Raquel Welch you just quoted it... or is saying someone is lovely not a compliment anymore.

don't you know who Sophia Loren is? Just Google her.... is this a competition now? If so I'll add Christie Brinkley and Elizabeth Hurley

Nothing. She simply always looked like a two-bit hooker, to me.

Weird. I can't think of a single male (that know who she is) who doesn't think she presents as super-trashy. If comparisons are to be made to Hollywood icons from the 20thC, Audrey Hepburn wins every time. She was elegant, refined, extremely stylish, and had the appearance of being aristocratic and 'out of the league' of mere mortals. Men (well, the men I know), like that in a woman.
