No it doesn’t. You claimed they are coming for their guns. I simply asked you where in the link it said that. That is not a pro gun argument. Asking you for clarification of a claim you made is about pro truth.
So again, for the reading impaired…I’m against ANY….ANY gun related bans.

where: I said gun banners in generally claim they won't confiscate stuff later banned that is currently owned. RI proved this is false.

To my knowledge I don't believe RI is going around confiscating high capacity magazines. But please correct me if I'm wrong. If you have a link proving such please share. It's bad enough RI is banning these mags but if they're also going around confiscating these mags well it seems they should have one hell of a lawsuit against them.

so if the police respond to a break in and see some of those magazines, what are they going to do? same for a traffic stop? I think they need probable cause but if they have it,........

You have mags laying around your place do you? Do you keep your gun mags on the passenger seat when driving?
I'm guessing if someone calls the cops for a break-in they are going to make sure any illegal contraband is not out in the open. However, if in those cases someone is moronic enough to leave illegal mags on their kitchen counter when the cops come in or on their passenger seat when pulled over then yes of course they would be taken. But that's not the same as your trying to imply that all high capacity mags are going to be confiscated. That just isn't the case. I'm guessing very very few will ever be taken. And it will only happen with people moronic enough to leave illegal mags out in the open of cops.

you just don't seem to get that anyone caught with such a magazine is now going to e subject to felony persecution. Of course the goon squads will not be able to get every one but what it does do is

    1) effectively ban anyone competing with such a magazine meaning that the national service rifle events and USPSA events are now going to be destroyed in Rhode Island

    2) that anyone who righteously defends himself with the magazine that came with any one of the ten most popular self defense pistols is subject to a felony

You are totally correct. Trump via an Executive Branch rule interpretation implemented the "bump stock" ban just determined to be illegal by a US Appeals Court. Both Trump and his AG bragged about this. Therefore, it is hard to see why any Second Amendment supporter would support Trump getting another Republican nomination. Trump is a fake conservative and a liar.

It is now a moot point. Let's not fooled twice by Trump.

It doesn't have to be Federal officals. Look what happened after Katrina. Out of state cops brought in to go door to door confiscating all guns. While the homes of the rich elite were protected by Blackwater, a private military company.

Interesting thread. It makes me very glad I retired to Texas five years ago where we have no magazine capacity rules, no registration requirements, no carry permit requirements (We have "Constitutional Carry" stipulating that any legal gun owner can carry open or concealed), no waiting periods and so forth. Texas has been declared a "sanctuary stateor the Second Amendment in the spirit of blue state "sanctuary" for illegals. TEXAS!! WHERE FREEDOM LIVES!!

Likewise here inb West VA. A sanctuary state with Constitutional carry and a strong firearms rights lobby group (WVCDL).

Never downplayed it. You have a habit of reading what you THINK is being posted rather than what is ACTUALLY being posted. That's on you.

Ya good point. But I dont think that's gonna work on a national or even state level. That was just one partially evacuated city.

I find it amusing that you tend to have most issues with those who support gun rights and you constantly try to downplay the actions of anti gun politicians: I usually see such actions from those who are pro gun but also are strong supporters of the party that wants to ban guns

remind me how Obama's justices voted on gun issues versus Trump's. And what would have a president Hilary Clinton said after the Vegas massacre? Yeah Trump; was wrong here but would Clinton have been better? I highly doubt it

Wow... am I glad I live in Texas where any legal gun owner can carry concealed or open without any permits or registration and unburdened by any nit picky laws about waiting periods, magazine capacities or anything else.
    TEXAS! WHERE FREEDOM LIVES!

I find it amusing how confused you are. I have no issues with those who support gun right. But please feel free to show any posts of mine where i have supported any anti-gun laws. I'll wait
